Toyota has officially announced the facelifted Yaris Cross for the European market, bringing refined updates in design and equipment to enhance its competitiveness. The key highlight is the adoption of a bold honeycomb pattern on the new front grille and the refresh of the sporty “GR Sports” grade.
The Yaris Cross has maintained its position as the top-selling vehicle in Europe since its debut in 2021, thanks to its excellent usability, superior hybrid fuel efficiency, and distinctive SUV style. With over 200,000 units sold in the European market in 2025 alone, it boasts an overwhelming presence in its segment.
The new front design features a thick, powerful honeycomb pattern on the grille, finished in a unified body color, creating an elegant and modern impression.
The visual impact is significantly increased compared to the previous model, enhancing the vehicle’s presence and urban SUV dignity.
In addition to the new grille, the Yaris Cross also introduces two new body colors: Precious Bronze and Celestite Gray.
The interior has also been revamped, with the introduction of platinum-colored door trim and SakuraTouch, a new material used for the partial leather trim in the High grade.
The GR Sports grade has been further differentiated with its unique style and tuning, featuring a dedicated front bumper, 18-inch machined aluminum wheels, and sporty seats with gray upholstery and red stitching.
The suspension has also been specially tuned to enhance handling sharpness and responsiveness.
The powertrain is centered around the Hybrid 130 system, which produces 130 DIN hp and 185 Nm of torque, with a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 10.7 seconds. The vehicle is available in both FWD and AWD-i configurations, catering to diverse user needs in Europe.
The Toyota T-Mate and Smart Connect systems have been adopted to enhance safety and connected features. The Toyota Safety Sense is included in the Toyota T-Mate system, and parking support brakes are standard on Mid+ grades and above.
In comparison to the Japanese-spec Yaris Cross, the European version has a more significant exterior design change, reflecting the different target user groups and market environments between Europe and Japan.
In conclusion, the facelifted Yaris Cross is an ambitious update that aims to further elevate Toyota’s best-selling compact SUV in Europe. With its bold new front design, enhanced interior quality, and expanded powertrain options, the Yaris Cross is poised to strengthen its competitiveness in the European B-segment.
The new model is expected to start accepting orders in Europe this month, and it is anticipated to break new records in the market.
