The Mercedes-Benz C-Class Electric C400 4MATIC was officially announced on April 20, 2026. This model boasts an impressive spec sheet, including a maximum output of 490ps, a maximum range of 762km, and 0-100km/h acceleration in 3.9 seconds, making it the most sporty C-Class to date.
The new C400 4MATIC Electric features a coupe-like silhouette and exceptional aerodynamic performance, with a Cd value of 0.22. The front face adopts a modern design, with an optional LED illumination grill and daytime running lights that feature the three-pointed star motif. The wheelbase has been extended by 97mm to 2,962mm, optimizing the space for the EV battery.
The interior features a 39.1-inch MBUX Hyperscreen, which covers the entire dashboard and offers customizable displays for the driver and passenger. Other notable features include massage functions, ventilation, and a 4D sound system for the front seats, as well as an optional panoramic roof with 162 LED stars.
The powertrain consists of two electric motors, one at the front and one at the rear, with a combined maximum output of 482hp. The battery has a capacity of 94.0kWh, allowing for a maximum range of 762km under the WLTP standard.
The safety features include a range of sensors, including a long-distance radar, multi-mode radar, corner radar, stereo camera, and 12 ultrasonic sensors. The new EV model also features the latest MB.OS platform, which supports OTA updates.
The price of the new C400 4MATIC Electric has not been officially announced in Japan, but it is expected to be around 1.5 million yen, based on the prices of previous EV models. The release date is set for the second half of 2026, starting with the American market.
