The Toyota Alphard, a top-tier minivan, has begun accepting orders for its facelifted model, set to release on June 3, 2026. This update brings substantial improvements in safety, ride comfort, and security features.
The changes include the adoption of the latest security functions, such as the “My TOYOTA+” app, which allows users to lock their vehicle’s engine using their smartphone. Additionally, a smart key proximity system restricts door unlocking and engine start when the owner is not nearby.
The frequency-responsive shock absorber, previously only available on the Executive Lounge grade, is now standard on all grades. The interior design has also been refined, with a new bronze accent replacing the previous silver one.
The grade lineup has been revised, with the introduction of the new “HEV G” grade, which offers enhanced equipment while maintaining a competitive price. The PHEV model is now available on the “Z” grade, making it more accessible.
The body size remains the same, with a length of 4,995mm, width of 1,850mm, and height of 1,935mm. The TNGA platform (GA-K) provides improved vehicle rigidity and ride comfort.
The powertrain options include a 2.5L gasoline engine, a 2.5L hybrid system, and a PHEV system. The hybrid system achieves a fuel economy of 17.7km/L (WLTC mode), while the PHEV system has a highest output of 306ps and an EV range of 73km.
