About the new Volkswagen “ID.2all”

Volkswagen’s new ID.2 all is equipped with the latest powertrain and achieves a WLTP range of approximately 450 km . Unlike previous ID models, this model uses front-wheel drive to improve space efficiency. Additionally, the ID.2 GTI is also available as a traditional sports model, the GTI. This compact vehicle is built on the MEB platform and has body dimensions of 4,050 mm in length, 1,812 mm in width, 1,530 mm in height, and a wheelbase of 2,600 mm.

The front of the new ID.2all is equipped with headlights connected on both sides by a light bar, and is characterized by 20-inch wheels and muscular fenders. The rear design reduces the slope of the windows, while the roof spoiler and taillight design give it a light and airy impression.

The car’s body size is similar to that of the Volkswagen Polo, but it incorporates futuristic interior elements.

Body size comparison

Comparing the body size of the Polo and Golf, we can see that it is similar in size to the Golf except for the overall length. Because it is shorter in length, it is easier to drive than the Golf, but the interior space is the same as the Golf, making it an attractive model.

Specifications Polo golf ID.2all
full length 4085mm 4,295mm 4,050mm
Overall width 1750mm 1,790mm 1,812mm
Overall height 1450mm 1,475mm 1,530mm
Wheelbase 2550mm 2,620mm 2,600mm

About the interior of the new Volkswagen ID.2all

The new Volkswagen ID.2 all features an interior that combines the latest digital technology with a futuristic design. It is equipped with a 10.9-inch instrument display and a 12.9-inch touchscreen, combined with a rotary controller for improved operability. It also features hard keys for climate control and drum-style steering wheel controls. Drivers can choose from different designs, such as a Beetle-style speedometer or an 1980s-style radio display, allowing them to customize the interior to their individual preferences.

Although the body size is shorter than the Polo, which is equipped with an internal combustion engine, the wheelbase has been extended to 2600mm thanks to the electric powertrain and a platform specifically for electric vehicles, resulting in an interior space comparable to that of the Golf. The luggage space is 490L under normal conditions, which can be expanded to 1330L by folding down the rear seats, and by folding down the passenger seat it is possible to carry luggage up to 2200mm in length. The ID.2all combines modern design with futuristic elements, and its affordable price is also a major attraction.

Volkswagen’s new “ID.2all” safety features

Safety features include a state-of-the-art acceleration/deceleration prediction system, equipped with “Car-to-X” information that uses radar sensors, camera images, and navigation data to analyze traffic conditions. The system receives real-time information from other vehicles and displays predictive tips on the digital instrument cluster to support economical driving. When combined with adaptive cruise assist, it can also predictively accelerate and decelerate the vehicle.

Volkswagen’s new “ID.2all” specifications

The new ID.2all is equipped with an electric motor that delivers a high output of 226 PS, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in under 7 seconds. The motor is located on the front wheels, contributing to the expansion of interior space. It has a range of 450 km and can be charged up to 80% in 20 minutes using a quick charger.

The GTI model has previously only been available with an internal combustion engine, but the ID.2all will be the first to be released as an electric vehicle. With its exclusive interior and exterior, a powertrain with increased output, and improved traction performance thanks to an electronically controlled limited slip differential, the GTI will be a truly enjoyable vehicle.

Other features of the new ID.2all include fast charging with a fast charger, the latest safety features, and an automatic recuperation function that enhances energy efficiency. These features make the new ID.2all highly practical for everyday use and attract attention as an eco-friendly vehicle.

Summary of Volkswagen’s new “ID.2all”

With the introduction of the new ID.2all, Volkswagen is further strengthening its competitiveness in the electric vehicle market and taking a step towards a sustainable future. This innovative model symbolizes the evolution of Volkswagen’s technological capabilities and design, and is expected to play a key role in the future electric vehicle market.
