Subaru Tecnica International (STI), Subaru’s motorsports subsidiary, unveiled the prototype of the S210, a limited edition STI complete car based on the WRX S4, limited to 500 units, at the Tokyo Auto Salon 2025 held at Makuhari Messe on January 10, 2025. The official website for the car will be launched on March 31, 2025, with a lottery entry period running from May 22 to June 29, 2025. The price is 8.7 million yen.
This special machine, limited to just 500 units, is the ultimate sports sedan, born from the generous application of the technology and know-how STI has cultivated in the Nürburgring 24-Hour Race, inheriting the DNA of the SUBARU WRX NBR CHALLENGE and truly embodying the concept of “control at will.”

At the heart of the S210 is a unit based on the FA24 direct-injection turbo engine found in the WRX S4, tuned exclusively by STI. The intake system features a newly developed air cleaner, intake duct, and pre-turbo duct for improved intake efficiency. The exhaust system features a newly developed low-backpressure performance muffler with large-diameter tailpipes and a rear exhaust pipe with a bullet-shaped chamber for reduced exhaust resistance. These improvements, along with special tuning of the ECU, have resulted in a maximum output of 300 PS (development target) . Linear torque response to accelerator operation provides the driver with a sense of security and exhilaration in any situation, resulting in engine characteristics that can be controlled exactly as desired.
First use of Subaru performance transmission
The S210 is the first in the “S Series” to feature the Subaru Performance Transmission. This transmission’s shifting characteristics have been precisely tuned to match the engine’s output characteristics, resulting in quick shifting response and excellent maneuverability. It accurately conveys the driver’s intentions to the road, providing a more direct driving feel and greater enjoyment of handling.
Suspension that realizes ultimate handling
The S210’s suspension is fitted with Michelin 255/35R19 high-performance tires.
