“It’s a long walk from Shibuya to Yoyogi-Uehara, and transferring by train is a pain…” For those of you with similar concerns, Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. is launching the groundbreaking “Nissan NOTE e-POWER Ride Station” for a limited time, a service that makes traveling to such “close yet far” places more comfortable.
About the NOTE e-POWER Ride Station
This station will be set up in the Shibuya/Yoyogi-Uehara area from November 1st to 6th. Not only will you be able to test drive the Note e-POWER for free, but you will also be able to actually ride it to any location you wish to go within a 3.3km radius .
If you’re wondering, “But how long is 3.3 km?”, don’t worry. This distance is equivalent to driving at 40 km/h for five minutes, making it perfect for a quick trip. Because it’s a distance designed for everyday use, you can fully experience the smooth, powerful acceleration and quiet, comfortable ride of the Note e-POWER, the allure of 100% electric driving only possible with a 100% motor drive, in just a short amount of time.
What’s more, it’s very easy to use. No reservations are required; just head to the station and tell the staff where you’re going. Child seats are also available, so it’s safe for those bringing small children.
The “NOTE e-POWER Ride Station” will be set up in the Shibuya and Yoyogi-Uehara areas, which are difficult to access by train. According to a Nissan survey, of people who use the Yamanote Line in Tokyo at least three times a week, over 30% feel that the Shibuya area (Yoyogi-Uehara, Yoyogi-Hachiman, Nishi-Azabu, Azabu-Juban, Hiroo) and the Shinjuku area (Higashi-Shinjuku, Hatsudai, Kita-Sando, Kagurazaka) are “areas that are difficult to travel to despite being close by.” This initiative can be seen as a new proposal from Nissan to solve these transportation challenges unique to urban areas.
