On January 9, 2024, Mitsubishi announced details of its exhibits at Tokyo Auto Salon 2024, which will be held at Makuhari Messe from January 12 to 14, 2024. The company announced a total of seven concept cars, centered around the new Triton, which is scheduled to be released in February 2024 .

New Triton (exhibited vehicle)

The new Triton, scheduled for release in February 2024, has been developed under the product concept of “Power for Adventure,” and features a completely redesigned interior and exterior design, chassis, ladder frame, engine, and more, making it a model that symbolizes Mitsubishi Motors’ unique style and meets customers’ adventurous spirit.The body color is a newly developed Yamabuki Orange Metallic, which enhances vividness and metallic feel, and the car is equipped with genuine accessories that will be available on the new Triton, such as fender arch moldings and side door garnishes that further enhance its powerful look, as well as support items such as a tonneau cover and tailgate assist.

Based on the new Triton, this vehicle offers a new way to enjoy snowy mountain leisure activities, unique to pickup trucks. “SNOW SHREDDER” refers to a snowboarder who slices through steep snow and icy surfaces with aggressive turns, and is a custom car that expresses the adventurous spirit of boldly taking on any situation.

Outlander PHEV ACTIVE FIELD (Exhibition vehicle)

Based on the Outlander PHEV, an SUV with excellent off-road capabilities and functionality, this custom car is customized with features such as a carrier and trailer hitch member that allow you to fully enjoy outdoor activities, including those near water, and a lift-up that improves driving performance, creating a world in which you can enjoy active hobbies.

Delica D:5/Delica Mini CHAMONIX SNOW GEAR (exhibition vehicle)

Based on the special edition “CHAMONIX” of the “Delica D:5” and a vehicle equipped with the “CHAMONIX package” dealer option package for the “Delica Mini,” this custom car coordinates the “Delica” series, which runs safely and powerfully on snowy roads, with a common worldview, and is based on the concept of gear that allows you to enjoy winter outdoor activities with family and friends.

New Triton Rally Car “Asia Cross Country Rally 2023” Test Vehicle (Exhibited Vehicle)

This is a T1 specification (modified cross-country vehicle) test vehicle that competed in the Asia Cross Country Rally held in Thailand and Laos in August 2023, where it placed third overall. Modified in accordance with the AXCR vehicle regulations, it has achieved high performance, including durability and reliability, nimble and stable handling, powerful and responsive power performance across the entire range, and the ability to drive on extremely rough roads such as muddy roads.

Delica D:5 Support Car “Asia Cross Country Rally 2023” Actual Vehicle (Exhibited Vehicle)

The Delica D:5 accompanied Team Mitsubishi Rally Art on the entire AXCR rally as their support car. Utilizing the Delica D:5’s traditional features, such as its robust rib-bone frame body and electronically controlled 4WD system that provides optimal maneuverability and driving performance in a variety of weather conditions and road surfaces, the car is equipped with JAOS front and rear suspension, WORK aluminum wheels, and Yokohama Rubber off-road tires, making it capable of handling the entire rally, from flat dirt to mud.
