Mercedes-Benz Japan began accepting orders for the new V-Class, which features a completely redesigned interior and exterior, as well as improved ride comfort and functionality, from October 1, 2024. Prices range from 9.4 million to 13.7 million yen, with deliveries scheduled to begin from early October, with the V220d scheduled to begin from late November.

This update features a larger radiator grille, a new front mask with multi-beam LED headlights, clear rear combination lamps, etc. The interior features a widescreen cockpit, a new capacitive steering wheel, and new trim and seat materials.
All models are fitted with new design aluminum wheels. The standard V 220d, V 220 d long and V 220 d extra-long models are fitted with 18-inch wheels, while the AMG Line package comes with 19-inch wheels in AMG design. The V 220 d EXCLUSIVE long Platinum Suite and V 220 d EXCLUSIVE extra-long Black Suite are fitted with 19-inch wheels with a luxurious design.
New body colors include solid paint options such as Jupiter Red, Vintage Blue, and Alpine Gray, while metallic paint options include Kalahari Gold, Sodalite Blue, and High-Tech Silver.

This update applies to the entire mid-size van family, including the V-Class-based commercial van, and applies to both ICE and fully electric models. In addition to premium interior and exterior design, the new V-Class further improves convenience and comfort with a 12.3-inch widescreen display, the latest digital cockpit, and the MBUX infotainment system.

The new V-Class is a seven-seater with a wide range of seating arrangements, allowing it to be used in a variety of ways depending on the purpose. Removing the second and third rows completely reveals a vast luggage space. Safety has also been taken into consideration, with all seats equipped as standard with three-point seat belts, center airbags, and window bags.
The V 220 d, V 220 d long, and V 220 d extra-long (standard specification) are equipped with genuine leather seats in all seats and feature the newly adopted “Dark Gray Open Pore Olive Wood Look Interior Trim,” while the AMG Line Package features “Carbon Look Interior Trim.”
The previous model required you to turn the key to start the engine, but the new V-Class uses a button to start the engine.
Equipped with a footrest, reclining function, relaxation function, seat ventilator (including seat heater function), headrest cushion, leg rest, footrest support, and a folding table, it provides passengers with a comfortable space even on long drives.

All models are powered by the OM654 inline 4-cylinder 2.0L diesel turbo engine, which produces a maximum output of 120kW (163PS) and a maximum torque of 380Nm, and a 9-speed 9G TRONIC automatic transmission.
