Mazda to adopt Tesla (NACS) standard for EV charging in North America from 2025

Mazda announced on January 17, 2024, that it has reached an agreement with Tesla to adopt the North American Charging Standard (NACS) for battery electric vehicles (BEVs) starting in 2025. This agreement will enable Mazda customers to use more than 15,000 Tesla Superchargers (fast charging facilities) across North America.

Subaru North America adopts Tesla (NACS) standard for EV charging

Subaru will equip some of its BEVs with the North American Charging Standard (NACS) from 2025. NACS ports are a charging standard widely used in North America, and Subaru will also offer adapters that enable NACS charging from 2025. This will also be available to customers who own or lease Subaru vehicles equipped with the CCS standard.

The North American Charging Standard (NACS) is gaining ground. Many automakers, including Ford, General Motors, BMW, Honda, Mercedes, Fisker, Rivian, Nissan, Jaguar, and Volvo, have announced plans to adopt the standard.
