Stellantis subsidiary Dutch Automobile will fully redesign its new muscle car, the Charger, and unveil the fifth-generation model (world premiere) on March 5, 2024 (current time).
About the new Dutch “Charger” full model change 5th generation
The new Charger will be a two-door hardtop, just like its predecessor. The Charger Daytona SRT Concept, unveiled in January 2023, has been confirmed to have almost the same design as the production model scheduled for release in late 2024, except for flashy decorations and huge wheels. Many similarities can be seen, such as a slim grille, air bridge, and liftback.

The production model will be built on the new Stellantis STLA large platform, which will support both EV and ICE vehicles. The EV model will be equipped with an 800-volt tri-motor Banshee EV powertrain, which is estimated to produce nearly four-digit power. The range is expected to be up to 500 miles (805 km), although actual figures will vary depending on driving conditions.
Only 2 door coupes?
For now, Dodge has only unveiled the new Charger as a two-door coupe, but there is still demand for a four-door sedan, so it’s possible that a four-door model will be added in the future.

Options other than EV models
Dodge has already confirmed the existence of two 400-volt EV models, called the 340 and 440. These figures represent output in kilowatts, equivalent to 456 hp/462 PS and 590 hp/598 PS, respectively. Furthermore, two Dodge Direct Connect eStage power upgrade options are available to further increase power output.
Will the V8 engine make a comeback? Inline 6-cylinder engines will replace the V8 engine
Dodge has previously denied the existence of an ICE model. However, leaked images have revealed a huge transmission tunnel, leaving the possibility of an ICE model still open. Given that the V8 engine likely won’t be making a comeback, the Hurricane inline-six engine found in vehicles like the Jeep Wagoneer could be installed. This engine offers performance comparable to a V8, with a standard output of 400 horsepower and a high-output tune of 500 horsepower.
interior
The concept car’s interior is likely to be the one used in the production model, with a folding rear seat instead of four bucket seats, and a dashboard with two screens, one for gauges and one for infotainment.
Dutch new “Charger” full model change 5th generation is expected
Dodge is scheduled to announce details of the new Charger on March 5th. There are many expectations, including the arrival of a four-door model, an affordable EV model, and an ICE engine that can rival a V8 engine.
