Lexus has introduced a special edition “F SPORT Performance” model of its battery EV-only model “RZ450e,” selling 100 units by lottery. It is scheduled to go on sale in late March 2024. Applications for the lottery will be accepted at Lexus dealerships nationwide from Friday, January 12th to Monday, February 19th, 2024, and winners will be contacted by their dealership after Thursday, February 22nd to begin negotiations. The car will be exhibited at the TOYOTA GAZOO Racing (TGR) booth (East Hall 8) at Tokyo Auto Salon 2024 , which will be held at Makuhari Messe from January 12th to 14th, 2024 .

The special edition “F SPORT Performance” is a BEV that contributes to the realization of a carbon-neutral society and is based on the concept model ” RZ SPORT CONCEPT ” exhibited at “Tokyo Auto Salon 2023” in January 2023. It is a special edition vehicle that pursues the joy of driving. Together with air race pilot Yoshihide Muroya and racing driver Masahiro Sasaki, the aerodynamic and driving performance have been refined to realize a design rooted in functionality.
Aerodynamic development was carried out in collaboration with Yoshihide Muroya (LEXUS PATHFINDER AIR RACING). Utilizing the knowledge gained from technical exchanges with Yoshihide Muroya, 17 special aero parts have been adopted, including a carbon wing and carbon turning vanes that apply aerodynamic technology used in aircraft. This increases downforce and achieves even higher aerodynamic performance. The suspension is fitted with 21-inch aluminum wheels, and the coil springs and shock absorbers have been specially tuned. Thorough testing with Masahiro Sasaki at Toyota Technical Center Shimoyama has been carried out to hone the car’s driving performance, resulting in an uncompromising driving experience.
The exterior color is “HAKUGIN,” inspired by the tranquil silver world where light and shadow intertwine, and features a striking contrast between black and the body, with blue accents. A new matte white finish is pursued, highlighting the beautiful shape with its finely grained texture, while the blue accent color, evoking the cleanliness of a BEV, creates a sporty impression. The interior is available in newly added exclusive black and blue interior colors, and features Ultrasuede® seats with blue stitching . The total coordination of the exterior and interior expresses a sporty style.

Lexus custom model “RZ SPORT CONCEPT”
Lexus unveiled the RZ SPORT CONCEPT, a custom model based on the new RZ battery EV model, for the first time at the Tokyo Auto Salon 2023, which opened on January 13, 2023.
Lexus will exhibit the “RZ SPORT CONCEPT,” which pursues the driving performance and fun customization unique to battery EVs while contributing to the realization of a carbon-neutral society. Based on the “RZ,” Lexus’ first dedicated battery EV model, the vehicle is equipped with 150kW high-output motors at the front and rear to achieve even more powerful driving performance. The vehicle height has been lowered by 35mm, and it is also fitted with special aero parts, larger tires, and four full bucket seats. Supervised by racing driver Masahiro Sasaki, who was involved in the development of the RZ, this model offers improved driving performance and the fun of customization.
The exterior color is “HAKUGIN,” which is based on a pure, unclouded white and pursues a texture that shines delicately when wrapped in light, and incorporates blue accent colors that evoke the cleanliness of a battery EV and its high driving performance.
