The history of the RC shines brighter with the Lexus Final Edition
The RC was launched in 2014 as Lexus’ premium sports coupe. Its elegant design and outstanding driving performance have captivated car enthusiasts around the world, and it has become one of Lexus’ most iconic models, with cumulative sales of approximately 79,000 units in 62 countries and regions.
In Japan, the lineup includes the RC350 with a 3.5-liter V6 engine, the RC300h hybrid model with a 2.5-liter engine, and the RC300 with a 2.0-liter turbo inline-4 engine, meeting the needs of a wide range of users.
The high-performance RC F model is equipped with a naturally aspirated V8 5.0-liter engine and an 8-speed automatic transmission (8-Speed SPDS). Carrying on the racing spirit of the “F” model, it has sold a total of approximately 12,000 units in 57 countries and regions, earning high praise from users who enjoy circuit driving.
In January 2023, the infotainment system was upgraded with a touch-enabled display. Driving performance has also improved with the adoption of hub bolts for wheel fastenings and revised suspension and electric power steering settings. Safety has also been enhanced with the addition of an electric parking brake and updated functions for the Lexus Safety System + safety system.
In this way, the RC has continued to evolve and has been loved by many users. The Final Edition is a model that can be said to be the culmination of that RC. Although the RC is closing its doors after 11 years of history, the Final Edition will be a special model that connects that glorious history to the future.
