Hyundai Instar: Amazing Pricing! Starting at 2,849,000 yen

The Instar’s greatest appeal is its price. The cheapest model, the Casual, is priced at an astonishing 2,849,000 yen, making it a vehicle that will likely accelerate the spread of EVs. The more fully equipped Voyage and Lounge models are priced at 3,355,000 yen and 3,575,000 yen, respectively.

As a pre-order bonus, the first 300 units will receive the benefits of the INSTER 5-Year Warranty Program and INSTER Exclusive Care. The INSTER 5-Year Warranty Program extends the Health Care coverage of the Hyundai Assurance Program for five years. In addition to the HAP, the basic fee for the mandatory 12-month inspection in the fourth year will be waived, and the basic fee for the vehicle inspection in the fifth year will be waived. With INSTER Exclusive Care, if the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry’s CEV subsidy is less than 350,000 yen, the shortfall will be covered up to a maximum of 350,000 yen. If the INSTER CEV subsidy is 350,000 yen or more, INSTER Exclusive Care will be waived.

In addition to the commercially available Instar model, the Instar Tarmac, a customized version based on the Instar Cross, a derivative model of the Instar that is scheduled to be released in Japan at a later date, was also on display.

This concept car was inspired by the karst grasslands of western Japan, and adds a nostalgic rally image to the tough exterior of the Instar Cross. The body color is a “hot rod red and white two-tone” with a white line on the hood.

The front bumper is fitted with a bumper guard and fog lights to emphasize its strength. The roof carrier, which is also fitted to the base vehicle, the Instar Cross, is coordinated with the exterior image using a cream-colored cutting sheet. The wheels are fitted with white OZ Racing aluminum wheels and Dunlop Synchro Weather all-season tires, creating a unique look.
