Fiat announced the Japanese model of the 600e, an all-electric (BEV) SUV, on September 10 , 2024. It will essentially be the successor to the 500X SUV. The Japanese price will be 5,850,000 yen. In addition, a hybrid model equipped with an internal combustion engine is scheduled to be introduced in the spring of 2025.

The Fiat 600 uses the same platform as the Jeep Avenger, a member of the same group, and boasts a total length of 4,200 mm, a total width of 1,780 mm, a total height of 1,595 mm, a wheelbase of 2,560 mm, and the latest electric powertrain and advanced equipment, strengthening its competitiveness. For the Japanese market, a fully electric model, the 600e, is available, equipped with a 54 kWh battery, allowing for a maximum WLTC mode range of 493 km on a single charge. It is equipped with a 100 kW charging system, allowing for quick battery charging. The vehicle weighs 1,580 kg.
Additionally, Fiat claims the 600e can be charged to 80 percent capacity in under 30 minutes at a fast-charging station. The new model also comes with an 11kW onboard charger for slow-speed plugs, fully recharging the battery within six hours. The 600e is offered with only one powertrain: a single electric motor delivering 154 hp (115 kW/156 PS) and 270 Nm (27.5 kgm) of torque. Drivetrain: FWD, 0-100 km/h acceleration in 9 seconds.

The design combines the retro style of the “500” series with crossover elements to create a more sophisticated impression. The “600” logo is featured on the front grille and headlights, and the “FIAT” rear. The Japanese model features 18-inch diamond-cut aluminum wheels and gloss black accents to emphasize a more masculine image.
There are only three exterior colors available: the new “Sunset Orange” and “Sky Blue,” and the popular “White.”





About the interior of the new Fiat “600e”

Inside, the La Prima model offers a wealth of aesthetic design freedom. Drivers can control the vehicle through a 10.25-inch infotainment screen that’s compatible with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Navigation is handled by a TomTom-powered GPS system, which can provide drivers with information on parking, charging, and more. A 7-inch screen behind the steering wheel keeps drivers informed of speed and facilitates smartphone integration. Additionally, luggage space is 360 liters under normal conditions, expanding to a maximum of 1231 liters with the rear seats folded down.






As the company calls it the first small car to feature “chromotherapy” LED lighting, an incredibly wide range of colors is offered inside the car. Owners can choose from eight accent lighting colors, which can be mixed and matched in carefully selected combinations to brighten up different parts of the cabin. Drivers can choose from a total of 64 combinations. The 600e also comes equipped with a variety of USB and USB-C ports, as well as wireless charging for mobile devices. With the help of an app on their device, drivers can remotely control functions such as climate control, horn, lights, and locks.
Furthermore, the Fiat 600 is also focused on comfort. The new 600e is the first Fiat brand to feature an active lumbar support (seat massage function) for the driver’s seat, which helps reduce fatigue during long drives. It also comes equipped with a variety of convenience-enhancing features, including a hands-free power liftgate that can automatically open and close the trunk, and keyless entry (with proximity sensor) that automatically unlocks and restricts the vehicle.

To ensure safety, the 600e is equipped with features like blind-spot monitoring and automatic emergency braking. Thanks to a suite of 360-degree sensors, it also comes with drowsy driver detection and adaptive cruise control. It also employs the latest driver assistance systems, including forward collision warning and collision mitigation braking, adaptive cruise control, lane position assist, and blind-spot monitoring.
Price of the new Fiat “600e”
The La Prima model is priced at 5,850,000 yen. As one of the hottest models in the electric vehicle market, the 600e is sure to continue to attract many users, and the 600 Hybrid, scheduled for release in the Japanese market in spring 2025, is also attracting attention.
