DS Automobiles will be the first automotive brand to equip its infotainment system, the DS IRIS system, with ChatGPT as standard equipment. It is scheduled to be introduced in Japan in mid-April 2024.

DS Automobiles will combine the voice recognition function with its infotainment system, the DS IRIS system, to enable in-car generative AI enjoyment . DS Automobiles will equip ChatGPT as standard equipment . This feature will be installed on all DS 3 , DS 4 , DS 7 , and DS 9 models equipped with the DS IRIS system, shipped from March 2024, in the following 18 countries and 13 languages where voice recognition is available:

“DS Automobiles” DS IRIS system standard equipment
The standard inclusion of ChatGPT is a world first for an automotive brand. The feature works via the ChatGPT API, powered by SoundHound AI. For the best travel experience, ChatGPT functionality is offered as part of the Connect Plus Package, which, depending on the model, also includes Connected Navigation, Remote Control and e-Remote Control, Connected Alarm, Send2Nav, and EV Trip Planner or e-Routes. This package is standard on all DS Automobiles models for three years.
