Daihatsu Motor Co., Ltd. announced on March 29, 2024, that the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT) had confirmed through witness testing and other tests that the Daihatsu Taft and the Toyota-Daihatsu Copen comply with the standards of the Road Transport Vehicle Act, and that it would lift the order to suspend shipments. On April 11, 2024, it was announced that production of the Daihatsu Taft would resume on Monday, May 6, 2024, and that production of the Toyota-Daihatsu Copen would resume on Tuesday, May 7, 2024.
