The BMW M3 Sedan is based on the BMW 3 Series Sedan, and the BMW M3 Touring is based on the BMW 3 Series Touring. Both are high-performance M models developed by BMW M GmbH, and are capable of serious racing on the circuit.
The BMW 3 Series has long been supported as the brand’s core mid-class car, and underwent a major minor change for the Japanese market in September 2022. At the time, newly designed LED headlights were adopted at the front, and the air intakes were enlarged to emphasize a dynamic impression.

This latest improvement has resulted in further improvements in driving performance, and of particular note is the high-performance 4WD version, the “M3 Competition M xDrive.” This model has an engine output that is 20 hp higher than the previous model, delivering a maximum of 530 hp, and combined with the M xDrive intelligent 4WD system based on rear-wheel drive, it delivers overwhelming driving performance.
Safety features for the new BMW M3 Sedan/M3 Touring
Both the new BMW M3 Sedan and the new BMW M3 Touring are equipped with the latest generation of safety features and driver assistance systems, just like before. Equipped with cutting-edge driver assistance systems featuring high-performance cameras and radar, as well as high-performance processors with high analytical capabilities, the “Traffic Jam Driving Assist with Hands-Off Function” reduces the driver’s workload and contributes to safety during traffic jams on the highway, allowing the driver to take their hands off the steering wheel under certain conditions.
