The exterior of the new Mazda2 inherits Mazda’s design philosophy, “Kodo Design,” while evolving into a more refined style.

The front mask features sharp headlights and a large grille. The headlights have a longer, sharper design than the current model, giving it a bold impression. The grille uses a mesh pattern to emphasize its sportiness.

The side view features a beautiful silhouette with flowing lines. By enlarging the tire housing compared to the current model, a wide and low stance is achieved, enhancing the sporty impression.

The rear view has a simple yet striking design. The taillights feature a horizontal design that emphasizes the vehicle’s width.

New body colors are expected to be added, and the rich color variations achieved through Mazda’s unique painting technique, known as Takumi-nuri, are also noteworthy.

Mazda’s new MAZDA2 fully redesigned interior combines high quality and innovation

The interior of the new Mazda2 is a space that combines high quality and advanced technology. The dashboard adopts a horizontal design, giving it a spacious impression. The meter panel is now LCD, improving visibility.

The infotainment system uses the latest “NEW MAZDA CONNECT.” It features an 8.8-inch touchscreen display and enhanced smartphone connectivity, allowing for intuitive operation of navigation, audio, vehicle settings, and more.

The EV model is the “e-SKYACTIV R-EV” Mazda Rotary (RE) Range Extender

It’s possible that the e-SKYACTIV R-EV, which is featured in the MX-30 Rotary-EV, will be adopted. The Mazda RE Range Extender (Range Extender) is a device that extends the driving range of an electric vehicle (EV) by equipping it with an engine dedicated to generating electricity. While hybrid cars alternate between using the engine and motor, a range extender EV uses only the motor to drive the vehicle. The engine is used solely to charge the battery. While range is said to be the biggest bottleneck for EVs, this technology is attracting attention as a way to address this issue. The ability to reduce the capacity of the battery to a certain extent also has the advantage of freeing up interior space and reducing battery costs.

The motor is placed at the front for front-wheel drive, the lithium-ion battery is placed in the center, and a 330cc single rotary engine acts as a generator at the rear.
