Volkswagen’s new Golf R Variant minor change
The facelifted new Golf R Variant is a facelifted version of the new Golf and Golf Variant, with some exterior changes . The interior features a new freestanding 15.6-inch infotainment display, higher-quality materials, and other improvements to the user interface. The infotainment system is now more intuitive and customizable, featuring two touch bars and a home screen button. There’s also a physical touch slider and voice assistant below the display, which can be used to adjust various vehicle settings and answer weather-related questions.
The driver assistance system, Travel Assist, has also been enhanced, now offering lane change assistance on multi-lane highways at speeds above 90 km/h. It ‘s a semi-autonomous driving system that combines lane centering and adaptive cruise control . However, that’s a bit of a sell, as the system uses cameras and navigation data to detect speed limits and adjusts accordingly. The system also offers lane change assistance.
The engine is the same as the current model, a 2.0TSI engine that produces a maximum output of 235kW/320PS and a maximum torque of 420Nm.
