Toyota will release the new BEV (battery electric vehicle) “bZ3X” in 2025, part of its new EV series. The company applied for the “BZ3X” ( trademark application 2020-116944 ) with the Japan Patent Office on September 22, 2020. The “bZ4X” was released on May 12, 2022, but since the number is lower than that, it is expected to have a smaller body size.

About the TOYOTA bZ Compact SUV Concept
The TOYOTA bZ Compact SUV Concept is positioned in the C-SUV segment, the largest segment in Europe. Alongside the C-HR Prologue , the new full battery electric bZ Compact SUV Concept demonstrates Toyota’s multi-tech approach of enabling customers to reduce their carbon footprint, meeting their diverse needs, and ensuring sustainability through the expansion of its product offerings.

The TOYOTA bZ Compact SUV Concept was designed in Europe by Toyota European Design and Development (ED 2 ) in France as a fully battery electric vehicle (BEV) using a Clean Vital Design approach. This approach celebrates the duality of the vehicle, delivering both the minimalist design expected of a BEV and the vitality of the future. The concept represents a zero-emission vehicle that uses low-impact, sustainable materials to deliver dynamic performance, cutting-edge technology and a stylish look.

The concept’s aerodynamic form enhances its futuristic appearance, including wheels pushed out to the corners for an aggressive stance, making it appear to be in motion even when stationary. Its short overhangs and swept-back angle help it stand out as a technology-advanced vehicle, while its tapered cabin design creates an agile appearance with low drag.

The edgy styling extends to the interior, where premium finishes create a distinctive look. In particular, the design team incorporated several eco-friendly touches, such as seats made from plant-based and recycled materials, in line with the Beyond Zero theme. An in-car personal assistant connects the driver and passengers to the vehicle through audio and visual light cues that move around the cabin in response to requests and commands from front or rear seat passengers.
