About the new Renault 4 E-Tech

The Renault 4 E-Tech shares many components with the previously announced compact EV “Renault 5,” but has established its own unique SUV identity. With a total length of 4,140 mm, a total width of 1,800 mm, and a total height of 1,570 mm, it is slightly larger than the Renault 5, ensuring ample space for family use. With a ground clearance of 180 mm and large diameter wheels, it creates a powerful style befitting an SUV.

About the new Renault 4 E-Tech exterior

The exterior design features round LED headlights and a boxy silhouette reminiscent of the original Renault 4, but with a modern interpretation, it gives off a fresh impression. In addition to a wide variety of body colors, by combining optional graphics, a whopping 670 customizations are possible. Furthermore, an electric sliding canvas roof is available, allowing you to enjoy the open air, just like the Fiat 500X Convertible.

About the new Renault 4 E-Tech interior

The interior features an advanced cockpit with a 10-inch digital meter and a 10-inch touchscreen. The Google-powered OpenR Link infotainment system supports operation via an AI assistant and connectivity with over 50 apps, supporting a comfortable drive. Other appealing features include playful design elements such as seats made from recycled materials reminiscent of jeans and a unique gear lever shaped like a lipstick tube.

About the new Renault 4 E-Tech powertrain

Its performance as an EV is also excellent, with the 40kWh battery model achieving a range of 300km, and the 52kWh battery model achieving a range of 402km. It also supports fast charging, being able to charge up to 80% in 30 minutes. Two powertrains are available, 122ps and 150ps, providing powerful acceleration and smooth driving.

A word from the editorial department

The Renault 4 E-Tech combines retro charm with cutting-edge technology, making it a truly modern-day classic. Sales will begin in Europe in 2025, and expectations are high for its introduction in Japan. In a subcompact SUV market crowded with competitors like the Mini Aceman and Fiat 600e, the Renault 4 E-Tech exudes a unique personality that could create a new sensation.
