Mazda North America unveiled the new 2025 model CX-70, a large two-row SUV, for the first time in the world at 11:00 AM local time on January 30, 2024. Pricing was announced on February 21, 2024. It will start at $40,445. It is scheduled to go on sale in the US and Canada in spring 2024. All CX-70 powertrains will feature some form of electrification.

About the new Mazda CX-70

Adopts a newly developed large platform .

All models are electrified, with the PHEV model being a 2.5L inline 4-cylinder engine + motor “e-SKYACIV PHEV” model and a 3.3L inline 6-cylinder turbo engine (e-SkyActiv G) 48V mild hybrid system “M Hybrid Boost” available.

It features the latest “Kodo-Soul of Motion” design, giving it a powerful and sporty impression.

The latest ” NEW MAZDA CONNECT ” features a 12.3-inch full LCD digital meter and a 12.3-inch infotainment system with Amazon Alexa .

The interior seats feature red nappa leather seats (burgundy) .

The latest safety system is equipped with the ”  MAZDA CO-PILOT CONCEPT .”

Equipped with a ” trailer hitch view ” that supports trailer connection and has a towing capacity of 5,000 lbs.

The large product group, the CX-60 , CX-70, CX-80, and CX-90 , are positioned in a wide price range above the existing Mazda CX-5 and CX-50 models, and are available in two different body types and two seating rows: two-row and three-row. The two-row CX-60 and three-row CX-80 will be available in Europe and Japan, where roads and parking lots are relatively narrow, while the  wide-body two-row CX-70 and three-row CX -90 will be available in markets such as North America, where larger size and presence are required  , expanding the mid-size crossover SUV lineup. The vehicles will adopt a new longitudinal architecture and be equipped with a plug-in hybrid powertrain and an inline-six engine. Electrification efforts will be focused on the “large platform.”
