What are the advantages of a full LCD digital meter?
The biggest advantage is that, depending on the system installed, it is often possible to display a lot of information within the meter . For example, displaying a map within the meter can minimize the movement of your field of vision while driving. Furthermore, it is customizable, and there are many variations in the content and screen you want to display.
What are the disadvantages of a full LCD digital meter?
The disadvantages of full LCD digital meters are personal, but compared to the “Optitron meter + information display” that has been used in many cars up until now, they are flatter and feel less like a car meter and more like looking at a meter on a game monitor. While full LCDs are novel, some cars feel they lack a sense of luxury .

summary
Full LCD digital meters are expected to be adopted in many cars in the future, and are already being adopted in European models such as Toyota’s Yaris series. Changes may also be made to Japanese models in the future. Furthermore, the RAV4 and Harrier have also been upgraded to full LCD digital meters . Personally, I like the Optitron meter + information display, as it combines the feel of a car with convenience, but what do you all think? Personally, I don’t think it’s right to choose based on novelty alone, but there’s no doubt that LCD-based cars will become more common in the future!
