In Europe, BMW made minor changes to the new 4 Series Coupe and announced it on January 31, 2024.

The new car features redesigned front and rear bumpers for a sharper look, new LED headlights for a more muscular front end, new 19-inch wheels and a revised colour palette including Cape York Green Metallic and Vegas Red Metallic.

It features a new steering wheel with shift paddles and illuminated switchgear, standard sport seats, improved ambient lighting, new air vents, and updated features like iDrive 8.5 and the familiar curved display.
The 4 Series Gran Coupe has undergone a minor change, with the exterior and interior design revised and the latest equipment added, resulting in a model that gives off a sportier and more sophisticated impression.

The 430i is powered by a 2.0L four-cylinder turbocharged engine with mild-hybrid technology. This engine has received numerous upgrades, including redesigned intake ports and combustion chambers, and innovations in camshaft control, injection, ignition system, and exhaust gas routing. These upgrades improve the engine’s efficiency and fuel economy. However, output remains unchanged at 255 hp (190 kW / 259 PS) and 295 lb-ft (400 Nm) of torque.
The M440i is powered by a newly developed 3.0-liter inline-six engine. This engine features a mild-hybrid system that instantly delivers 11 hp (8 kW/11 PS) of boost and 200 Nm of torque. This boost can be sustained for up to 10 seconds. This results in a combined powertrain output of 386 hp (288 kW/391 PS) and 398 lb-ft (539 Nm), a slight increase from last year’s model’s 382 hp and 369 lb-ft.

BMW announced a full model change of the new 4 Series Coupe on June 2, 2020 (local time). The Japanese model will be unveiled and released at 10:00 a.m. on October 16, 2020.
The new 4 Series Coupe has undergone a complete redesign, adopting a new generation of exterior design and a vertical kidney grille . It also features a host of new technologies. The large grille features new standard adaptive LED headlights with a slimmer profile and two L-shaped daytime running lights. These DRLs also function as turn signals. The body measures 4,768mm long, 1,850mm wide, 1,383mm high, and has a wheelbase of 2,850mm. It is 57mm lower than the new 3 Series Sedan, and the center of gravity is 21mm lower.

The interior features a 10.25-inch touchscreen display (optional), BMW’s iDrive 7 infotainment system, navigation, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. It also features the newly developed BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant, which utilizes AI. The meter uses a 12.3-inch digital instrument display. It also comes equipped with a next-generation BMW head-up display and a driver assistance system that uses a high-performance triple camera.
BMW’s new “4 Series Coupe” full model change engine
The BMW 420i is equipped with a 2.0L inline 4-cylinder BMW TwinPower Turbo gasoline engine that produces a maximum output of 184 PS (135 kW) at 5,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 300 Nm at 1,350-4,000 rpm. WLTC mode fuel economy is 13.4 km/L.
BMW M440i xDrive Coupe: A 3.0L inline-six engine is mated to a 48V mild hybrid system (8kW/11HP) and an 8-speed Steptronic sports transmission. Maximum output is 285kW (387PS) at 5800rpm, and maximum torque is 500Nm at 1800rpm-5000rpm. The drivetrain is the 4WD “BMW xDrive”. Acceleration from 0 to 100km/h is 4.5 seconds, and the top speed is 250km/h. WLTP fuel economy is 11.2km/L.
