Approximately nine months after the launch of the facelifted Q8 in Europe, Audi unveiled the flagship version of its SUV, the improved new RS Q8, and the newly added RS Q8 Performance on June 25, 2024.
These high-performance models are tuned for sportiness and comfort, and are performance SUVs based on Audi’s top-of-the-line SUV, the Q8.
About the improved specs of the new Audi RS Q8
The RS Q8 and RS Q8 Performance are equipped with a 4.0-liter V8 twin-turbo engine that produces a maximum output of 600 PS (592 hp) and 640 PS (632 hp), respectively. The maximum torque is 800 Nm (590 lb-ft) for the RS Q8 and 850 Nm (627 lb-ft) for the RS Q8 Performance. The RS Q8 accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds, while the RS Q8 Performance accelerates in 3.6 seconds, boasting impressive performance. The RS Q8 has a top speed of 250 km/h, while the RS Q8 Performance has a top speed of 280 km/h, which can be increased to 305 km/h with an option.
These models come standard with RS-specific adaptive air suspension, which offers the ideal balance between sportiness and comfort and can adjust the ride height by up to 90 mm, and are mated to an eight-speed tiptronic transmission and the quattro full-time all-wheel drive system. Optional electromechanical active roll stabilization (eAWS) improves cornering stability.
About the improved exterior of the new Audi RS Q8

The exterior features include a new front bumper, honeycomb Single-frame grille, larger oval tailpipes, Matrix LED headlights, Digital OLED taillights, and three new metallic paint options: Sakhir Gold, Ascari Blue, and Chili Red.

The RS Q8 Performance comes standard with 440mm (17.3 inches) carbon-ceramic disc brakes in the front and 370mm (14.5 inches) in the rear, and is available on a set of lightweight 23-inch alloy wheels. Inside, the RS Design package in red, gray, and blue is available, including an Alcantara steering wheel, a Dinamica microfiber center console, and perforated sports seats.

The RS Q8 and RS Q8 Performance go on sale in Europe this month, with prices starting at €141,900 for the RS Q8 and €155,700 for the RS Q8 Performance, further strengthening Audi’s presence in the SUV market.
