Audi will be fully redesigning its new premium compact SUV, the Q3, to launch as the third-generation 2025 model in 2025. As of 2024, development of the new third-generation Q3 is underway, test runs have begun, and spy shots have also been taken. We received some CG images of what it will look like, so we thought about it a bit. Five full years have passed since the release of the previous model, and it is expected to debut six years later, in the second half of 2024. With the entry-level SUV, the Q2, coming to an end after one generation, the Q3 will likely become Audi’s entry-level SUV.
Audi’s new “Q3” full model change exterior
Audi’s new Q3 premium compact SUV will continue to offer a combustion-engine model. The most notable feature is the plug-in hybrid powertrain featured in the prototype pictured. The Q3 features aggressive split headlights, a slim grille, and wide lower bumper intakes. It also features muscular fenders that are visible through the front. The taillights feature a larger, Y-shaped design, a departure from the previous full-width LED trend, giving it a sportier look. It remains to be seen whether Audi will offer a Sportback coupe SUV body style like the current model. The tailpipes are no longer visible, and charging ports on the front fenders indicate this is a plug-in hybrid version.

Audi Q3 predicted CG
The 2025 Audi Q3 will use the MQB Evo platform, which it shares with the 2024 Volkswagen Tiguan and the hybrid-only 2024 Cupra Terramar. The Tiguan’s overall length will be 4,551 mm, approaching 4,500 mm. This means the next-generation Audi Q3 will likely be larger than its predecessor, which measured 4,485 mm in length. The wheelbase is expected to remain at 2,680 mm.

Audi’s new “Q3” full model change specs
The new Audi Q3 may be equipped with four powertrains: gasoline, mild hybrid gasoline, diesel, and plug-in hybrid, but this has not yet been confirmed. The Tiguan’s plug-in hybrid combines a 1.5TSI Evo2 engine with an electric motor to produce a maximum of 268hp. It is equipped with an 18.5kWh lithium-ion battery, achieving a range of 100km on electric power alone. It is highly likely that the same engine will be used.
