Audi’s new “Q7” minor change

Audi announced a minor change to its flagship SUV, the Q7, which will be the second facelift, on January 30, 2024 (local time).

The second-generation Audi Q7 debuted in 2015 and received its first facelift in 2020. While a new model would normally be released in 2024, Audi has decided to extend the lifecycle of the current model, prioritizing continuity in the Q series. With a fresh design and technological updates, it should remain an attractive model for years to come.

The update focuses primarily on exterior changes, including customizable high-tech lighting options, a new grille, and redesigned bumpers for a more stylish and sophisticated look. The interior also boasts enhanced infotainment and safety features for a more comfortable and safer drive.

Audi designers matched the Q7’s styling with the rest of the SUV lineup by painting the headlights a darker hue and splitting the LED graphic into two sections . Matrix LED headlights are standard on all trim levels , with the top-of-the-line Vorsprung trim level getting a more advanced setup.

The Vorsprung trim level is the first to feature HD Matrix LED headlights with laser technology for the high beam function. These headlights also include digital daytime running lights with selectable light signatures. The front daytime running lights and revised digital OLED taillight graphics are customizable with a choice of four different lighting signatures.

In addition to the new headlights, the 2024 Q7 also features a revised grille and sportier bumper intakes inspired by the recently facelifted Q8 . Five new alloy wheel designs are available, up to 22 inches. Exterior color options have also been expanded with three new colors: Ascari Blue, Sakhir Gold, and Chili Red. Additionally, the trim lineup now includes the S Line, Black Edition, Launch Edition, and Vorsprung.

Additionally, the standard Audi virtual cockpit has been enhanced to display information about other road users. ADAS-related features like lane change warning, following distance warning, intersection assist, and traffic light information are also included.

The 2024 Q7 will be powered by carryover diesel (TDI) and gasoline (TFSI) units.

The SQ7 performance flagship is powered by a 4.0-liter LV8 gasoline engine producing 500 hp (373 kW / 507 PS) and 770 Nm (568 lb-ft) of torque. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.1 seconds.

All Audi Q7 models come with adaptive air suspension as standard, while higher-spec models get a sportier chassis setup and four-wheel steering.
