Why is Aqua’s delivery time being delayed?

The main reasons for the delay in Aqua’s delivery are a shortage of semiconductors and delays in the supply of parts .

The global semiconductor shortage is having a major impact on the entire automotive industry, and Toyota is no exception. Furthermore, disruptions to logistics due to the COVID-19 pandemic and rising raw material prices due to the situation in Ukraine are also exacerbating delays in parts supplies.

These factors have combined to cause delays in Aqua production, resulting in longer delivery times.

Factors that cause delivery times to fluctuate

The delivery time for the new Aqua may vary depending on the following factors:

  • Grade and options: Some popular grades, manufacturer options, and dealer options tend to have longer delivery times. For example, the higher grade “Z”, popular body colors, sunroofs, and other options may have longer delivery times.
  • Dealer inventory: If the dealer has the vehicle in stock, it may be delivered immediately. However, the popular Aqua model is often out of stock and will need to be ordered from the manufacturer.
  • Production status: Due to factors such as the global semiconductor shortage, production at automakers remains unstable. As a result, production of the Aqua may be delayed, and delivery times may be extended.

How to shorten delivery times

If you want to shorten the delivery time for the new Aqua, you may want to try the following methods.

  • Choose a vehicle in stock : By choosing a vehicle that is in stock at the dealership, you can significantly shorten the delivery time. However, please note that there may be restrictions on the grade, options, body color, etc.
  • Avoid popular grades and options : Popular grades and options tend to have longer delivery times because production cannot keep up with demand. If you really want to speed up delivery, one way to do this is to avoid these options.
  • Wait for a cancelled car : If a car is cancelled, you may be able to get it delivered relatively quickly. It is a good idea to register with the dealership on a waiting list.
  • Find a retailer with a fast turnaround time : Delivery times vary depending on the retailer. It is also effective to contact multiple retailers to find one with a fast turnaround time.

Things to consider when buying an Aqua

When purchasing an Aqua, keep the following points in mind:

  • Delivery times are estimates only : Delivery times are estimates only and may vary in reality. Please plan your purchase with ample time.
  • Check delivery dates before signing a contract : Be sure to check delivery dates with the dealer before signing a contract. It’s also a good idea to check delivery dates if you change the grade, options, body color, etc.
  • Check cancellation fees : In the unlikely event that you need to cancel, you may be charged a cancellation fee. Be sure to check the cancellation fees before signing the contract.
