Renault will officially unveil the new supermini EV model “RENAULT 5,” the successor to the “5,” on February 26, 2024. It is scheduled to be unveiled to the world at the 2024 Geneva Motor Show, which will be held from February 26 to March 3, 2024. The price will be around 25,000 euros. It will be produced in France under the newly established Ampere division within the Renault Group.
About the exterior of the new Renault “RENAULT 5” EV model
One eye-catching feature of the new Renault 5’s exterior is the charging indicator located on top of the hood. It features an innovative design inspired by the distinctive intake of the original Renault 5. This indicator lights up when the vehicle is connected to a charger and functions as a graphic panel that displays the current charge level. A playful touch is added: when the battery reaches full capacity, the LED display takes the shape of the number “5.”

Additionally, the images reveal the lighting units of the Renault 5. The headlights feature LED graphics that differ from those on the concept, and Renault says that the black dot in the center of each lens resembles the pupil of a human eye, inspired by vintage advertising for the original 5.
Another homage to the classic Renault 5 appears in the vertically mounted taillights, connected by black trim pieces. These clusters are designed to minimize turbulence and improve the hatchback’s aerodynamics, and subtly extend from the side panels.
Also eye-catching are the prominent rear fenders, inspired by the famous R5 Turbo, which give the EV a hot hatch look, meaning Alpine doesn’t have to put as much effort into designing its own performance-focused version.
