About the new Caravan
Nissan has made minor changes to the gasoline-powered “Caravan” and began selling it on October 20, 2021. With this minor change, the gasoline-powered vehicle’s name has been changed from “NV350 Caravan” to “Caravan.”
Exterior
The exterior features a redesigned front grille and front bumper, creating a more dynamic, powerful, and imposing design. Three new body colors have been added: “Pure White Pearl,” reminiscent of snowy fields; “Midnight Black,” inspired by the pitch-black night sky; and “Stealth Gray,” which stands out in outdoor scenes, bringing the lineup to eight colors in total. The special paint color incorporates a newly developed special high-elasticity resin and employs a scratch shield coating that prevents deterioration of the paint surface, such as scratches that occur during everyday use . The scratch shield is scratch-resistant, and even if scratches do occur, they will be restored over time to a condition close to that before the scratch occurred .

interior
The interior is based on black, creating a calm atmosphere. The meter is a new Fine Vision meter (with a 5-inch TFT display) that is advanced and has greatly improved visibility and operability. The steering wheel is a new D-shaped steering wheel, and the seat trim has been given a new fabric, greatly improving the quality of the material. The “seat with spinal support function” that has been well received in the wagon, which maintains a neutral posture and reduces fatigue during long drives, is standard equipment on all vehicles.

The “Intelligent Emergency Brake” that is now standard on all vehicles is capable of detecting pedestrians using a millimeter-wave radar and camera fusion system that is less affected by weather and ambient brightness. The “Intelligent Rearview Mirror” is now standard on EX grade and above, and the functionality of the “Intelligent Around View Monitor” that is standard on EX grade and above has also been improved.

A word from the editorial department
Nissan’s Caravan has been evolving year by year, and along with Toyota’s Hiace, it has become a popular commercial vehicle. While the Hiace has remained the same for over 20 years, the Caravan has only been on the market since 2012, so it’s only about 12 years old, so it could still be considered new. We look forward to seeing the Caravan continue to evolve in the future.
