Mitsubishi Motors will begin selling the new Triton pickup truck on February 15, 2024. Prices range from 4,988,000 yen to 5,401,000 yen (tax included). On February 14, 2024, the company announced that it would begin accepting advance orders from December 21, 2023, and that as of February 13, 2024, it had received orders for approximately 1,300 units, more than six times the monthly sales target of 200 units.

Prior to the launch , advance orders began being accepted on Thursday, December 21st of last year , with approximately 1,300 orders received, more than six times the planned monthly sales of 200 units. Approximately 90% of all customers chose the premium GSR grade. It is said to be popular not only for its excellent ride comfort and excellent handling stability thanks to the newly developed suspension, and its off-road performance thanks to the Super Select 4WD-II (SS4-II) system inherited from the Pajero, but also for its tough styling thanks to exclusive parts for the premium grade, such as bumper lower garnish, styling bars, and wheel arch moldings. Approximately 80% of reservations this time were made by customers looking to add another vehicle or switch from another company, and the car is also popular with customers who have never owned a Mitsubishi vehicle before.

Is the new Mitsubishi Triton a good idea?
Is the Triton a possibility? Mitsubishi has positioned the Delica Mini as a compact version of the Delica D:5, which has the highest sales and product appeal. The Triton is expected to become the next flagship model after these two. Both models are outdoor-oriented, and the Mitsubishi brand’s strong outdoor image is likely to be established by 2024. Furthermore, the current model of its rival, the Hilux , has been on sale overseas since 2021 and in Japan since 2017, and the new Triton employs the latest designs in both the exterior and interior, giving it a more modern feel. In an age of diversification, having derivative models in the lineup could potentially lead to stronger sales.
