About the Mazda “EZ-6” in China
Changan Mazda has released a teaser video, revealing a rough image of the design. This new EV model is a five-door sedan, and as rumored, it appears to be a successor to the Mazda6. The front design features Mazda’s signature Kodo design, and the rear features a first for Mazda vehicles, with horizontal taillights and a centrally placed Mazda logo. It measures 4,921mm in length, 1,890mm in width, and 1,485mm in height. The powertrain lineup includes an EV model and a PHEV (range extender) model. The EV model is available with a 58.9kWh or 66.8kWh battery pack, which drives a rear electric motor with a maximum output of 215hp (160kW) and a maximum torque of 236 lb-ft (320Nm). Alternatively, the motor will have a maximum output of 255 hp (190 kW) and a maximum torque of 236 lb-ft (320 Nm).

The car has a 50:50 front-to-rear weight distribution (BEV), a strut-type front suspension, and a multi-link rear suspension, as well as an electric rear spoiler to improve stability at high speeds. The BEV model has a range of approximately 600km, while the PHEV model is expected to go over 1,000km on a single tank of fuel.

As the front grille is an electric vehicle, you can see that it has a very impressive design.

This includes a 14.6-inch infotainment display and a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster. There’s also a flat-bottom steering wheel, a bespoke centre console, slim air vents and an ambient lighting system.
