About the new Lexus “LBX” partial improvement 2024 model
The 2024 update will see the addition of a new grade. Overseas, the car is also available in the “ELEGANT” and “ACTIVE” grades, and this time, the Japanese model will feature a new entry-level grade, the “ELEGANT.” The Japanese model will come standard with 225/60R17 tires and 17-inch aluminum wheels (medium gray metallic paint), which were previously only available on the “Bespoke Build” model, but 225/55R18 tires and aluminum wheels (dark premium metallic paint) will also be available as an option. The high-performance model “LBX MORIZO RR,” based on Lexus’ compact model “LBX,” has been previously announced, and Chairman Akio Toyoda, also known as Morizo and master driver, participated in its development.

The car is equipped with the 1.6L inline 3-cylinder intercooled turbo engine “G16-GTS,” a tuned version of the “G16E-GTS” used in the ” Evolved GR Yaris .” Maximum output is 224kW (304PS) at 6,500 rpm, and maximum torque is 400Nm (40.8kgm) at 3,250-4,600 rpm. Furthermore, to maximize vehicle performance, a Direct Shift 8AT is available, a Lexus first, a 6-speed iMT (intelligent manual transmission), and electronically controlled full-time AWD is also installed, contributing to sporty driving.

Many parts, including the bumpers and suspension, have been specially developed for this model. The exterior features special front and rear bumpers, 19-inch forged wheels, colored arch moldings, and colored rocker moldings, all of which emphasize a low center of gravity and a wide stance. The rear features an “L-shaped single-letter signature lamp.” With a total length of 4,190 mm, a total width of 1,825 mm, a total height of 1,545 mm, and a wheelbase of 2,580 mm, it is an even smaller model than the “UX.” It also features original aluminum wheels measuring 17 inches to 18 inches.
