Tesla released an improved version of the new Model Y in Japan on April 2, 2024. It features a new design and “Hardware 4.0,” which provides five times the chip performance. Display cars will be deployed to Tesla stores starting April 5, 2024.

The Model Y will see some changes to its body colors, as well as the addition of new colors. In addition to the popular “Ultra Red” and “Stealth Gray” colors for the Model S and Model X, customers will also be able to choose the Model Y-exclusive color “Quick Silver.”
Equipped with next-generation driving assistance system HW 4.0
Equipped with HW4.0 (Hardware 4.0). Compared to previous driver assistance system hardware, chip performance has improved fivefold. This advanced hardware will be installed in all Tesla vehicles, and Tesla aims for even higher safety.
Exterior design and camera changes
The front, rear, and side repeater cameras have been replaced with high-resolution cameras. With the transition to Tesla Vision, which primarily uses camera images for sensing, the ultrasonic sensors have been eliminated. As a result, the exterior design is smoother than ever before, and its design has been improved.

Clean Energy Vehicle Introduction Promotion Subsidy (CEV Subsidy)
