Honda has fully redesigned the second-generation Vezel , announcing it on April 22, 2021, and releasing it on April 23. It will then undergo a minor change and be released three years later on April 26, 2024. Its closest rival is the Yaris Cross, a compact SUV in the Yaris series that boasts the highest sales figures of any standard car in Japan . What kind of car is the Vezel?

The center display uses a 9-inch Honda CONNECT Honda Display . Compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto . Equipped with Honda CONNECT, an in-vehicle communication module exclusive to Honda vehicles . Honda Total Care Premium is available. Remote operation via smartphone is possible, and the car itself connects to an emergency support center in the event of an accident or other emergency, allowing for quick and accurate troubleshooting support. Equipped with an automatic map update service. The smartphone replaces the key with the Honda Digital Key and Honda App Center, and in-car Wi-Fi allows you to purchase data capacity in the car and connect to the internet for enjoyment.

The advanced safety driving support system , Honda SENSING , now features a new Front Wide View Camera with a high-speed image processing chip. Combined with a total of eight sonar sensors mounted on the front and rear of the vehicle, it adds a Near Collision Mitigation Braking System, which is now standard equipment on all vehicles. Four sensors are located in the rear bumper, which detect obstacles behind the vehicle and alert the driver with sound and visual alerts. The Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) has been upgraded to include a traffic jam following function, and the Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS), Road Departure Mitigation System, Sign Recognition, and Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS) have all been further improved from the previous model. Three new functions have also been added: Rear False Start Prevention, Near Collision Mitigation Braking, and Auto High Beam.

Honda Vezel minor change

  • A new exterior design has been adopted, with changes to the front grille and front bumper.
  • New body and interior colors have been added.
  • Safety is enhanced by adopting “Traffic Jam Assist (traffic jam driving support function),” “Adaptive Driving Beam,” and “Sudden Acceleration Control Function.”

This minor change to the new Vezel will change the exterior design. In addition, new body colors will be added to change the impression. New interior colors will also be added. Safety equipment will be improved with the addition of the Traffic Jam Assist function that is installed in the ZR-V .

What kind of car is the Yaris Cross?

It adopts the newly developed ” GA-B platform ” known as TNGA (Toyota New Global Architecture) . It features the newly downsized THS II from the new-generation “inline 3-cylinder 1.5L direct-injection Dynamic Force Engine M15A. ” An E-Four (4WD) model is also available. A newly developed double-wishbone rear suspension specifically for 4WD is used. Gasoline-powered vehicles also use  the same engine with a “Direct Shift-CVT” with a launch gear. It also features the second-generation “Toyota Safety Sense” advanced active safety technology .

Toyota will make some improvements to the Yaris Cross and release it on January 17, 2024.

The roof spoiler for the “Z” and “Z Adventure” grades has been changed, and the grill mesh design has been changed .
