Toyota will make minor changes to the new GR Yaris, releasing an improved, evolved model on March 21, 2024. On January 25, 2024, Toyota (TGR) unveiled two special edition vehicles based on the evolved GR Yaris: the GR Yaris RZ “High performance Sébastien Ogier Edition” and the GR Yaris RZ “High performance Kalle Rovanperä Edition” at the first round of the 2024 FIA World Rally Championship (WRC), the Monte-Carlo Rally . Applications for the vehicles will be entered into a lottery around spring 2024 through GR Garages nationwide, with a limited number of 100 units of each planned for release. Prior to the lottery opening, both models will be exhibited in the plaza in front of the JR Gate Tower at Nagoya Station from February 15 to 18, 2024.

The GR Yaris RZ “High performance Sébastien Ogier Edition” comes in a new matte color, “Matte Stealth Gray.” A newly developed lightweight rally spoiler (made from CFRP) and “WRC victory commemorative decals” commemorating the WRC championship are attached to the left and right front fenders. The color of the stitching on the steering wheel has been changed to match the colors of the flag of each driver’s country of origin (Ogier: France). A special plaque commemorating the WRC championship is attached to the instrument panel in front of the passenger seat.

The GR Yaris RZ “High performance Kalle Rovanperä Edition” features a three-color paint scheme. WRC victory commemorative decals commemorating the WRC championship are attached to the left and right front fenders. The three-color paint scheme is designed by the designer of the helmet used by Rovanperä when competing. The three colors were achieved using paint alone, without the use of cutting sheets or other materials. The rear spoiler (adjustable wing/made from CFRP) is the same as that of the GRMN Yaris, and the color of the stitching on the steering wheel has been changed to match the colors of the flag of each driver’s country of origin (Rovanperä: Finland). A special plaque commemorating the WRC championship is attached to the instrument panel in front of the passenger seat.
