The new car features VTEC variable valve lift technology, an upgraded direct injection system, a new cold active catalyst, a high-rigidity crankshaft, and an improved oil pan to reduce engine noise. The engine continues to be equipped with a newly developed two-motor electric CVT that combines a 2.0L direct-injection Atkinson-cycle engine with a high-output motor. The e:HEV’s premium, exhilarating driving experience has been further refined, ensuring quieter, more powerful performance. The new car is equipped with a drive mode switch that allows the driver to select the driving style best suited to the driving situation and their mood. In addition to “ECON mode,” “COMFORT mode,” “NORMAL mode,” and “SPORT mode,” “INDIVIDUAL mode” allows the driver to register their preferred settings.

This is the first Honda vehicle for the Japanese market to be equipped with the newly developed Motion Management System. The Agile Handling Assist electronic control system, which supports smooth vehicle behavior when cornering, now includes new Front Load Control technology, helping the driver drive exactly as they want in a variety of driving situations, from slippery snowy and wet roads to general driving in urban areas and on winding roads.

Honda’s new 11th-generation Accord undergoes a full model change, and Honda SENSING 360 is being adopted for the first time in Japan.
