Subaru of America announced on May 30, 2024, that it will debut the new WRX tS at the Wicked Big Meet , a Subaru enthusiast festival to be held on June 2, 2024. Sales are scheduled to begin at Subaru dealerships nationwide in early 2025. Unlike the Japanese model, the WRX S4, Subaru of America will include the 2024 WRX in its lineup.
Features of the new WRX tS 2025 model
Performance and handling
The tS grade is tuned by STI, with electronically controlled dampers and an improved suspension for improved performance, handling, and ride comfort. It also features distinctive interior and exterior accents and a new fully digital gauge cluster for enhanced aesthetics.
Brake system
A high-performance Brembo brake system is fitted, including signature gold-coloured six-piston front and two-piston rear calipers with larger pads and rotors. This system improves stopping power, fade resistance and pedal feel. Additionally, 245/35 R19 Bridgestone Potenza S007 tires are fitted as standard, improving grip and braking performance.
Drive Mode Select
Previously available only on the WRX GT, Drive Mode Select is now available, allowing the STI-tuned electronically controlled dampers to tailor dynamic performance with Comfort, Normal and Sport settings.
Exterior

The latest-generation WRX features a wide-body design with an aggressive stance and bold appearance. The front features a hexagonal grille, compact headlights, and a wide hood scoop. Character lines emphasize the sport sedan’s powerful presence. The exterior mirrors, shark fin antenna on the roof, and rear spoiler are finished in Crystal Black Silica. The rear decklid features tS badging, and the rear taillights feature a design inspired by volcanic magma. 19-inch multi-spoke wheels in a satin gray finish are standard on the WRX tS.

The interior features a 12.3-inch full LCD digital meter for improved visibility. The seats, steering wheel, door panels, and shifter feature blue accents. The ignition start button has an STI logo, and the electric moonroof has been discontinued to reduce weight and lower the center of gravity.

Recaro Performance Design front seats provide side and shoulder support for passengers and are wrapped in black Ultrasuede® with blue accents. The driver’s seat has eight-way power adjustment.
Multimedia System
The latest version of the SUBARU STARLINK 11.6-inch Multimedia Plus system is standard, offering a wide range of features, including Wireless Apple CarPlay®, Wireless Android Auto™, AM/FM/HD Radio, Bluetooth, a rear vision camera, SiriusXM® and SiriusXM Travel Link® (with a four-month complimentary Platinum subscription).
A word from the editorial department
Subaru of the US has a 2024 WRX in its lineup, unlike the Japanese model, the WRX S4. Both models use a 2.4L horizontally opposed 4-cylinder direct injection turbo engine, the DIT, but the biggest difference is the adoption of a 6-speed manual transmission. The new WRX tS model has been tuned by STI, making it a model that is very similar to the previous WRX STI.
