Suzuki unveiled the electric vehicle (EV) concept model “eVX” for the first time in the world on January 11, 2023, in India. This model is scheduled to be commercially available by 2025. In Japan, it was unveiled at the “JAPAN MOBILITY SHOW 2023,” held at Tokyo Big Sight from October 26 to November 5, 2023. About Suzuki’s new “eVX” electric vehicle concept model
The eVX is a concept model that will be Suzuki’s first EV global strategic vehicle. It was unveiled for the first time at the booth of Maruti Suzuki India Ltd., Suzuki’s Indian subsidiary, at the Auto Expo 2023 held near Delhi, India.

Suzuki offers SUV models such as the Escudo, Grand Vitara, and SX4 S-CROSS around the world. The eVX inherits this DNA, combining the power of a full-fledged four-wheel drive vehicle with the advanced features of a cutting-edge EV. With a body size of 4,300mm in length, 1,800mm in width, and 1,600mm in height, it is the same length as the SX4 S-CROSS, 125mm longer than the Vitara, and 45mm shorter than the Grand Vitara.
The battery capacity is 60kWh, giving the car a range of 550km as measured on the Indian MIDC cycle. The front features V-shaped LED headlights, a fully enclosed transparent grille, and a sculpted bumper with skid plate. It also features muscular fenders, frameless doors, and flush door handles.

The same treatment is found around the boxy wheel arches, highlighting the futuristic aerodynamic alloy wheels.
It features muscular fenders, frameless doors, and flush door handles. It also features cameras instead of mirrors, though these will likely be toned down in the production version. The roof and A-pillars are painted black for a bi-tone look, while the lower body features a subtle green hue combined with bronze accents. At the rear, high-mounted, full-width LED taillights with 3D graphics appear to be integrated into the tailgate. Additionally, it features a large rear spoiler and a skid plate with F1-style brake lights.
As of 2024, development is progressing, test runs have begun, and spy shots have been taken.

The “eVX” is equipped with the latest safety feature, “Dual Sensor Brake Support II.” This uses three types of sensors: millimeter-wave radar, a monocular camera, and an ultrasonic sensor, and is now capable of detecting bicycles and motorcycles in addition to vehicles and pedestrians. It also detects vehicles and pedestrians when turning right or left at an intersection, helping to avoid or mitigate various collisions.

Suzuki to roll out 6 EV models to the Japanese market by 2030
Suzuki held a “Growth Strategy Briefing for FY2030” on January 26, 2023, where it announced plans to launch four-wheel battery electric vehicles (BEVs). The company plans to launch six EV models in the Japanese market. BEVs will be introduced sequentially starting in FY2023, and the silhouette of an unknown minicar was shown twice, possibly suggesting a passenger car and panel van body style with the same exterior. There are two more minicars, one of which is an electric version of the Suzuki Hustler, and the other could be a successor to the Every, but it could also be a successor to the Spacia or Wagon R. Finally, the Japanese EV lineup also includes a zero-emission variant of the Front and a production-ready eVX.
