It is compatible with “Android Auto” and “Apple CarPlay.” “NEW MAZDA CONNECT” does not have a touch panel as it is considered dangerous to operate it while driving, and all operations are performed using the commander control. An in-car communication device is installed as standard . Connected services can be linked to the smartphone app ” MyMazda.”
About the new CX-30 engine
The lineup includes “SKYACTIV-G 2.0”, “SKYACTIV-D1.8”, and “SKYACTIV-X”.
New CX-30 equipped with i-ACTIV AWD
The sportier new CX-30 is equipped with a new generation 4WD system, i-ACTIV AWD . It actively controls driving force electronically, achieving a high level of both off-road performance and fuel economy. Numerous sensors accurately detect the driver’s intentions and driving conditions, instantly calculating and issuing the necessary rear wheel torque, suppressing the transmission of unnecessary rear wheel torque and enabling the vehicle to drive almost in 2WD mode.
All new CX-30 models feature i-ACTIVSENSE, the next-generation advanced safety technology, as standard equipment
The i-ACTIVSENSE technology is standard equipment, along with driver monitoring, which detects drowsiness and warns the driver, and the Cruising & Traffic Support (CTS) steering assist function.
The Advanced Smart City Brake Support (Advanced SCBS) now includes night-time pedestrian detection. It also incorporates the latest features such as TJA (Traffic Jam Assist), FCTA (Front Cross Traffic Alert), DM (Driver Monitoring), and TSR (Traffic Sign Recognition System).
Is the new CX-30 SKYACTIV-X grade recommended?
First of all, from an economic standpoint, compared to the SKYACTIV-G 2.0-equipped vehicle, the 20S PROACTIVE grade is priced at 2,612,500 yen, while the X PROACTIVE is priced at 3,294,500 yen, meaning a price difference of 682,000 yen. On the other hand, there’s almost no difference in terms of significantly improved fuel economy, so it’s not recommended from an economic standpoint. In terms of driving performance, in addition to the mild hybrid motor assist, the maximum output is 132kW (180PS), far exceeding other engines, making it a recommended choice for those who care about driving. Furthermore, if it becomes a hot topic and gains popularity in the future, it may be able to make up for some of the price difference if it is highly rated when sold as a used car.
New CX-30 equipped with improved version “e-SKYACTIV X”
Mazda will make product improvements (annual improvements) to the new CX-30 and release it on December 17, 2020 (SKYACTIV-G 2.0). Models equipped with the e-SKYACTIV X and SKYACTIV-D 1.8 will be released in January 2021.
This time, the lineup includes a model that combines the e-SKYACTIV X mild hybrid . By optimizing the combustion control of the SPCCI, torque and power have been improved across almost all engine speed ranges. Maximum power has increased from 132kW (180PS) to 140kW (190PS), and maximum torque from 224N・m to 240N・m. The highly responsive air supply’s supercharging has been precisely controlled, and quicker supercharging in response to quick accelerator inputs improves responsiveness. Exclusive e-SKYACTIV X badges are fitted to the front fenders and rear.
New CX-30 equipped with improved version “SKYACTIV-D 1.8”
The SKYACTIV-D 1.8 diesel engine has increased its maximum output from 85kW (116PS) to 95kW (130PS), and by controlling the engine to deliver powerful torque across a wide range of engine revolutions, it has significantly improved response the moment you first step on the accelerator. When merging onto the highway, overtaking, or other situations where you step on the accelerator and accelerate suddenly, it instantly produces more powerful torque, delivering the powerful acceleration that is a diesel engine’s strength. While maintaining the high fuel economy and other high economical features unique to diesel engines, the engine now delivers torque without delay in response to accelerator operation, and combustion control has been revised to ensure the car responds exactly as the driver intends.
New CX-30 safety features: Improved safety and security
In terms of safety equipment, the CTS, which uses adaptive cruise control and steering assist functions to help reduce driver fatigue when driving in traffic jams on expressways and expressways, has increased its upper operating speed limit from approximately 55 km/h to the high-speed range. ・The acceleration and deceleration control of the Mazda Radar Cruise Control (MRCC) has been changed to be smoother and more in line with human characteristics.

New CX-30 “SKYACTIV-G 2.0” “M-Hybrid” mild hybrid
Mazda Europe offers the 2.0L Skyactiv-G 150M mild hybrid model for the Mazda3 and CX-30. At the same time, thanks to Mazda M Hybrid technology and a cylinder deactivation system, the engine produces a maximum power output of 122 PS at 6,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 213 Nm at 4,000 rpm. Consumption figures and CO2 emissions are approximately 2% better than the Skyactiv-G 2.0L.
New CX-30 product improvement 2021 model
Mazda has made some improvements to its crossover SUV, the CX-30, which was announced on October 28, 2021, and will go on sale in late November. The CX-30 will be available in a new body color, Platinum Quartz Metallic, in addition to the colors available on the MAZDA2 and CX-8 .

A new model, “Smart Edition,” and a special edition, “Black Tone Edition,” are available.

MAZDA CX-30 X Black Tone Edition

CX-30 X Smart Edition
Vehicles equipped with the next-generation gasoline engine “e-SKYACTIV X” have been designed to enhance the driver’s sense of freedom and exhilaration by optimizing the accelerator pedal force to create an acceleration feel and engine sound that increases the sense of unity with the car.In addition, by improving the fuel efficiency of some models, all models equipped with e-SKYACTIV X are eligible for tax reductions under the 2030 fuel efficiency standards.

New CX-30 2021 Product Improvements
The CX-30 equipped with the e-SKYACTIV-X engine maintains the driving performance and freedom of movement that enhances instantaneous power to respond to the driver’s intentions, while improving emissions performance and fuel economy. WLTC mode fuel economy has improved from 17.0km/L to 18.2km/L for the manual transmission, and from 16.8km/L to 17.3km/L for the automatic transmission. To ensure a comfortable journey for all passengers, the front and rear damper characteristics have been revised across all models. This has smoothed out suspension movement on rough roads, resulting in a more natural and gentle ride.

Mazda CX-30 2022 model improvement
This partial product improvement eliminates the SKYACTIV-G 2.0 and replaces it with the new “e-SKYACTIV G,” a 2.0L direct-injection gasoline engine “SKYACTIV-G 2.0” combined with the mild hybrid system “M HYBRID.” The e-SKYACTIV G combines a maximum output of 115kW (156PS) at 6,000rpm and a maximum torque of 199Nm (20.3kgfm) at 4,000rpm with the unique mild hybrid system “M HYBRID,” with a maximum output of 5.1kW (6.9PS) at 1,800rpm and a maximum torque of 49Nm (5.0kgfm) at 100rpm. This delivers quiet, smooth acceleration and a premium driving feel, while also contributing to fuel economy of 15.5km/L to 16.2km/L in WLTC mode. Each grade’s equipment has also been revised.
