It has been revealed that Toyota Motor Corporation is considering plans to start producing its popular minivans, the Noah and Voxy, at a vehicle production plant in Taiwan from 2026 and export them to Japan.

Under this plan, production will take place in parallel with Toyota Auto Body’s Fujimatsu Plant (Kariya City, Aichi Prefecture). While there are cases where vehicles for the domestic market are produced in parallel between domestic factories, parallel production across domestic and overseas factories is an unusual initiative. The current plan aims to level out the production load at factories across a wide area and ensure a stable supply of vehicles. Although the environment surrounding the automotive industry remains uncertain due to a global semiconductor shortage and disruptions in logistics, Toyota is determined to ensure a stable supply to its customers by building a flexible production system.
