Toyota announced the Urban Cruiser, a new battery EV and compact SUV for the European market, on December 12, 2024 (local time) . Scheduled to be unveiled to the public at the 2025 Brussels Motor Show, the model is based on Suzuki’s e Vitara and combines Toyota’s unique sophisticated design with advanced technology.

The Urban Cruiser features a robust yet sophisticated exterior design based on the theme of “urban tech.” It adopts Toyota’s “hammerhead” front end design cue, and its powerful bumper and striking rear light placement give it a bold presence from any angle.









Despite its compact body length of 4,285mm and wheelbase of 2,700mm, the sliding rear seat system provides a spacious interior.Various seat arrangements are possible, allowing for flexible adjustments to suit the number of passengers and luggage.

The Urban Cruiser is also packed with safety and comfort features that utilize the latest technology. In addition to advanced safety technologies such as a collision avoidance system and adaptive cruise control, it features a cutting-edge cockpit with a 10.25-inch digital meter and a 10.1-inch multimedia display. It also has a wide range of smartphone connectivity functions, supporting a comfortable drive.




New Urban Cruiser: Diverse powertrain options
The powertrain is available with two battery options, 49kWh and 61kWh, and in front-wheel drive (FWD) and all-wheel drive (AWD). The FWD model delivers a maximum output of 144PS, while the AWD model delivers a maximum output of 184PS, achieving both powerful acceleration and excellent environmental friendliness.
