Subaru’s new Sambar truck: a tough exterior

SAMBAR TRUCK
The front design, which was completely redesigned in 2022, is both powerful and bold. The new Sambar Truck’s design embodies the reliability of a work vehicle.
The large-cabin model “Grand Cab” is still available. The underside of the enlarged cabin can be effectively used as a cargo area, further improving the loading capacity of a light truck.
Subaru’s new Sambar truck: functional interior

SAMBAR TRUCK
Another attraction of the new Sambar truck is its spacious interior, which has a forward windshield position that ensures a wide field of view.
The 2022 improvements include the addition of an upper tray to the instrument panel, further enhancing storage space.
The Grand Cab not only allows you to store luggage behind the seats, but also allows you to recline the seats, ensuring comfort even during long drives.
Subaru’s new Sambar truck: powerful engine and excellent fuel economy
The new Sambar truck is equipped with the TOPAZ NEO engine, which combines driving performance with environmental friendliness.
The newly developed CVT, installed in the FR vehicle in the 2022 improvement, has a wider gear ratio range, enabling powerful starts and smooth acceleration. It also allows for comfortable driving on uphill roads.
Additionally, the CVT vehicle is the first in its class to adopt an “electronically controlled 4WD” system. Three modes – “2WD,” “4WD AUTO,” and “4WD LOCK” – can be selected with the flip of a switch. In 4WD AUTO mode, the optimum front/rear drive force distribution is adjusted according to road conditions, improving stability on slippery roads.
Furthermore, CVT vehicles are equipped with a super differential lock, allowing you to drive safely on rough roads such as mud.
As for fuel economy, the new Sambar Truck (FR vehicle equipped with CVT) achieves 16.5km/L in WLTC mode, which is an improvement over the previous model (15.3km/L for all grades).
Subaru’s new Sambar truck: Full safety equipment
In terms of safety, the evolved “Smart Assist” is standard equipment on all vehicles. The response speed of the collision avoidance assist brake function and collision warning function has been improved, and it can now detect motorcycles and bicycles in addition to the conventional vehicles and pedestrians. It also supports pedestrian detection at night.
In addition, it is equipped with a wide range of advanced safety features, including brake control with false start prevention function (front and rear), lane departure prevention control function, roadside departure warning function, sway warning function, sign recognition function (no entry/maximum speed/stop sign), side view lamps, and ADB (adaptive driving beam).
