The company announced that it will exhibit the ” MAZDA SPIRIT RACING SPECIAL MODEL ,” a model scheduled for commercial release, at the Makuhari Messe event held from January 10th to January 12th, 2025 .
At the Tokyo Auto Salon 2024, which will be held at Makuhari Messe from January 12th to 14th, 2024, Mazda unveiled a prototype of the MAZDA SPIRIT RACING 3 concept, based on the MAZDA3. On the same day, Mazda also unveiled a prototype of the MAZDA SPIRIT RACING concept RS, based on the Roadster.

It has been suggested that this model may be equipped with the 2.5L engine found in the North American-spec Mazda3, raising expectations for its powerful driving performance. The exterior features aero parts that accentuate its sportiness and a suspension that tightens the suspension, giving it a more aggressive impression. The interior is luxuriously made with Legane, a suede-like artificial leather, creating a high-quality space. In addition, bucket seats that firmly support the body are used to support sporty driving.

At the Tokyo Auto Salon 2024, the MAZDA SPIRIT RACING 3 concept was unveiled alongside the MAZDA SPIRIT RACING RS concept, which is based on the Roadster.

The new model features a large 10.25-inch center display with the latest generation Mazda Connect infotainment system, improving convenience. Wireless smartphone charging is supported, increasing convenience while driving. The CD/DVD player has been discontinued, and HDMI has been eliminated. Advances in automatic transmission false start prevention control and driver monitoring
The false start prevention control for automatic transmission vehicles can now detect not only obstacles such as cars and walls, but also pedestrians ahead. A function has been added to reduce accidents and damage caused by insufficient checking. A distraction warning function has been added to driver monitoring. If distraction is detected, a message will be displayed on the screen and an alarm will sound.

Connected Services
New services have been added to the Connected Services. Mazda My Car Care is a service that dispatches a guard in the event of vehicle vandalism or theft. Remote Engine Start allows you to turn the engine on and off remotely from the “MyMazda” app. Starting the air conditioning in advance helps ensure visibility when starting a journey.

The i-ACTIVSENSE technology is standard equipment, along with driver monitoring, which detects drowsiness and warns the driver, and the Cruising & Traffic Support (CTS) steering assist function.
The Advanced Smart City Brake Support (Advanced SCBS) now includes night-time pedestrian detection. It also incorporates the latest features such as TJA (Traffic Jam Assist), FCTA (Front Cross Traffic Alert), DM (Driver Monitoring), and TSR (Traffic Sign Recognition System).
