The silhouette of the Land Cruiser EV was revealed during the introduction of the new Land Cruiser series.

This was when the Land Cruiser Se (Sport Electric) was first released.
At the launch event for the Land Cruiser 250 held on August 2, 2023, Simon Humphreys, General Manager of Design, spoke about the true value of the Land Cruiser and Chairman Akio Toyoda’s mission of “returning to our roots.” He stated that the “70” model will continue the Land Cruiser tradition, the “300” will be the flagship model that will become the brand’s “symbol,” and the “250” will be the main “core model.”
In addition to the two Land Cruiser 250s, images of two other vehicles that have yet to be released were also revealed at the launch event: the rumored short-seat Land Cruiser FJ and the silhouette of a new electric vehicle concept model, the Land Cruiser Se.

In addition, the BEV (battery electric vehicle) concept model “LAND CRUISER Se” was exhibited at the Toyota booth at the “JAPAN MOBILITY SHOW 2023,” which was held mainly at Tokyo Big Sight from October 26 to November 5, 2023 (open to the public from October 28).

About the exterior of the new Toyota Land Cruiser Se

The new Land Cruiser Se inherits the tough image of previous Land Cruiser models, while incorporating futuristic elements unique to an EV.
As it is an EV, the front grille has minimal cooling openings and features thin LED headlights that give the car a wide impression. The rear window is steeply sloping in a coupe-SUV style, improving aerodynamic performance. The combination of large diameter wheels and low-profile tires suggests a sporty driving experience.
Toyota plans to expand its Land Cruiser lineup, starting with the Land Cruiser Se, a concept model for the Land Cruiser EV. This new model is an electric three-row crossover focused on urban use. The seven-seater crossover features an angular, futuristic design. The front end is dominated by a fully enclosed grille, flanked by elongated headlights and small openings bearing the word “TOYOTA.”
Body size
The new Land Cruiser Se boasts the largest body size in the Land Cruiser series, with a total length of 5150mm, a total width of 1990mm, a total height of 1705mm and a wheelbase of 3050mm.
Although it is the longest in the series, its overall height has been kept low. Thanks to the efficient packaging unique to EVs, it has a spacious interior even though it seats seven people with three rows of seats.
Moving to the rear, the car features pronounced fenders, blacked-out pillars, and highly stylized bodywork. It also features a distinctive roof and a rounded rear end with a slim light bar. At 5,150mm long and 3,050mm wheelbase, it’s 36mm longer and 102mm longer than Toyota’s large three-row Grand Highlander SUV, available in the U.S.

Toyota eschews traditional body-on-frame and ladder-frame construction for the Land Cruiser Se in favor of a monocoque structure. This model is designed for urban use, with a focus on high-torque driving performance and ease of use on the street. On-road, the electric vehicle offers a comfortable cabin with the quietness and handling you expect from an electric vehicle . Off-road, the monocoque body provides excellent handling and the ability to navigate rough terrain with confidence.
