Suzuki India is developing a new compact crossover SUV (Y43) and plans to launch it in 2026-2027. It will be a new entry-level SUV in the local lineup that is smaller and more affordable than the Vitara Brezza.

The compact model, codenamed “Y43,” could be released in 2026 or 2027, reports Autocar . It will be smaller in footprint than the 3,995mm-long Vitara Brezza and will serve as a new, affordable “entry-level SUV” in the local lineup.

Suzuki’s Indian subsidiary, Maruti Suzuki, will be making a major change to the Suzuki Vitara Brezza and will be announcing it on February 6, 2020 (local time). The car will be unveiled for the first time at the Auto Expo 2020, which will be held in India on February 6, 2016.

The new Vitara Brezza is powered by a 1.5LK-series BS6 petrol engine and is equipped with a next-generation smart hybrid system with a lithium-ion battery and hill-hold assist function. In addition to providing optimal acceleration and performance, the dual-battery smart hybrid system also features improved fuel economy, idle start-stop, torque assist, and brake energy regeneration.
