Mercedes-Benz has completely redesigned the E-Class (sedan/station wagon) and released the Japanese model on January 12, 2024. Prices range from 8,940,000 to 9,880,000 yen.
About the new Mercedes-Benz E-Class full model change
This is the brand’s next-highest model after the S-Class. Visually, it resembles the S-Class in its overall surface finish, as well as in details such as the flush door handles and the strong horizontal chrome trim line that runs across the trunk lid between the taillights. Its slightly more compact form gives it a more athletic appearance, similar to the smaller C-Class, and the new piano black grille surround at the front and the three-pointed star motif on the rear lights mean it’s impossible to mistake it for an E-Class . Depending on the trim chosen, the grille is available in two styles: the Mercedes-Class “Progressive” (featuring dozens of small stars) with a small star positioned within the grille, or the familiar “Classic” with a traditional slatted grille. The wheelbase has been extended by just under 22 mm to 2,961 mm, bringing the car’s nose-to-tail length to 4,949 mm. Knee room and maximum legroom have increased by 10mm and 17mm respectively, and Mercedes claims that elbow room in the rear has increased by 25mm, making it almost as spacious as larger luxury cars.

The new E-Class’ interior features the latest digital instrument cluster and infotainment system, and shares many similarities with its electric cousins, the EQE and EQS, in terms of gauge cluster and infotainment screen. The E-Class comes standard with a free-standing digital instrument display and an MBUX Superscreen media screen integrated into the dashboard. However, that dash screen can be optionally expanded to include a passenger display above the glovebox.
