Pioneer’s smartphone-only car navigation app “COCCHi” will be updated on January 31, 2024, to include support for a “night mode” display and the ability to set the frequency of voice guidance. The update brings the smartphone-only car navigation app “COCCHi” closer to conventional navigation systems.
Supports “Night mode”
The car supports “night mode,” which sets the display background and text to a black-based color scheme. This makes the screen easy to see even in dark environments such as at night or in tunnels, reducing eye strain. Users can manually switch between “day mode” and “night mode” to suit their surroundings and preferences, or select “automatic switching (linked to the time or in-car devices).”

Voice guidance frequency can now be configured
The frequency of voice guidance can now be selected from three levels. Users can select the frequency of guidance to suit their purpose and situation, such as using more detailed guidance (3: High) on roads they are driving on for the first time, or simple guidance (1: Low) on familiar roads or when listening to music.
