The Lancia brand, which will be under the umbrella of Stellantis, will be reviving its new EV model, the Ypsilon, which will be announced on February 2, 2024, with an official unveiling on February 14, 2024. The subcompact model (known as a supermini in Europe) will be available in a limited edition EV-only model, the Lancia Ypsilon Cassina. Lancia plans to produce 1,906 “numbered and certified units” to commemorate the brand’s founding anniversary.
About the new Lancia “Epsilon”
Serving as the first production model in Lancia’s new styling language, the new Ypsilon incorporates an illuminated version of the “Calis” grille and round taillights inspired by the iconic Lancia Stratos – a concept previewed by the Lancia Pu+Ra HPE Concept and common to all future models, including the Gamma crossover and Delta hatchback.

Lancia Pu Ra HPE Concept
The name “Pu+Ra” comes from the company’s new pure and radical design language, while “HPE” stands for “High Performance Electric,” paying homage to the 1970s Beta HPE, which originally stood for “High Performance Estate.”
Lancia Ypsilon Cassina, a limited edition of 1,906 units
The Lancia Ypsilon Limited Edition Cassina will be available for order immediately from 14 February 2024 onwards, and the company is encouraging Italian fans to take part in the “A Year in 1906” campaign by submitting a “non-binding” expression of interest form via its official website. The 13-year-old Lancia Ypsilon was only sold in Italy, but the new generation will be available in more European markets as the brand’s dealer network expands.
About the exterior of the new Lancia “Epsilon”
A sibling to the Peugeot 208 and Opel Corsa, also under the Stellantis umbrella, the new Ypsilon’s exterior features include polygonal headlights mounted lower in the front bumper than usual and gloss black accents around the exterior.

About the interior of the new Lancia “Epsilon”
According to Lancia, emphasis has been placed on high-quality materials and unique design features to ensure the cabin resembles an Italian living room. This feeling is accentuated thanks to a collaboration with Italian luxury furniture brand Cassina, which contributed to the material and color selection. Features include velvet-upholstered seats with a nostalgic “cannelloni” motif and a circular center console resembling a coffee table. It is also the first model to feature the SALA (Sound Air Light Augmentation) infotainment system, which will be rolled out to the entire product range in the future. The digital cockpit features a dual-screen layout, and an illuminated sphere atop the dashboard is thought to function as an AI-enhanced virtual assistant.
Lancia new “Ypsilon” interior specifications
The official figure is a WLTP range of 403km on a single charge. This range is believed to be achieved through the use of a 54kWh battery pack, similar to the one shared between various Stellantis EVs of the same size and platform (CMP/eCMP) that many other Stellantis vehicles share, including the Peugeot e-208 , Opel Corsa Electric , and even the Jeep Avenger .
