About the new Lexus NX partial improvement 2024 model

A new grade, “OVERTRAIL,” will be added.

Body rigidity has been further strengthened and the suspension tuned to provide a comfortable ride.

Added “Advanced Park (no remote function) + Parking Support Brake (surrounding stationary objects)” (NX350 “F SPORT”).

For the standard grade, the body color “Sonic Copper” has been added as an exclusive color for the “OVERTRAIL”, and a new “Moon Desert” has been added.

Hazel has been added to the interior color options for the F SPORT. Additionally, Monolith has been newly developed as an exclusive color for the OVERTRAIL.

Two additional USB Type-C ports for charging are included as standard in the box in the center of the instrument panel.

Added lighting to rear outside handle as standard equipment.

As a measure to prevent theft and unauthorized trading, a VIN number is added as standard to the passenger side below the windshield.

In line with the change in specifications and the rise in raw material prices, the manufacturer’s suggested retail price will be revised.

The body color “Sonic Copper” is available. Sonic Copper is a symbolic color that Lexus has pursued to express a metallic texture. Copper is also called red copper. Lexus’ unique Sonic technology combines the expression of a metallic texture with a rich harmony of colors to create a powerful and elegant look that will stand the test of time.

The interior color is “Hazel.” This popular interior color, previously only available on the “Version L,” is now also available on the “F Sport.” The brown interior color is stylish.

“Advanced Park” is now standard equipment on the NX350 “F SPORT” . Using cameras and sonar, it controls steering, accelerator and brake operations, and assists with parking until the vehicle is completely parked while monitoring the surroundings. After stopping next to the space where you want to park, press the Advanced Park switch to confirm the parking position. Then, when you press the start switch, the system will assist with steering, accelerator and brake operations while monitoring the surroundings to complete the parking (shift operation is manual). In addition to parallel parking, exiting and perpendicular parking in parking lots separated by lined parking lots, by registering the parking position in advance, it can also assist with parking in parking lots without lined parking lots or in environments with no adjacent vehicles.

Lexus NX Partial Improvement 2024 Model: Disappointing Points

It seems that the “12.3-inch full LCD meter” will not be available in this improvement . Since it is adopted in the lower class “LBX”, it will likely be changed in the next annual improvement.

About the new Lexus NX partial improvement 2023 model

With this latest improvement, aiming to further deepen the driving experience unique to Lexus, “Lexus Driving Signature,” body rigidity has been further strengthened based on the Always On concept, and the suspension has also been optimally set to further bring out the car’s potential. For the exterior, the high-mounted stop has been changed to a surface-emitting type. For the interior, the color scheme has been renewed, and to create a more glamorous and high-quality space, the door trim, glove box, and passenger-side console side panel are the same color as the interior theme, and the color scheme has been renewed (excluding black and the black exclusive to “F SPORT”).

The NX350 has improved drivability by improving starting response and torque feeling, and changing the engine and transmission control. 20-inch standard tires are available on the “version L” and “F SPORT” models (manufacturer option). The aluminum wheels on the “version L” are painted gray metallic, while those on the “F SPORT” are painted black.

The functions of the “Lexus Safety System +,” which contributes to a safe and comfortable drive , have been expanded, and the pre-crash safety’s low-speed acceleration suppression function, which helps avoid collisions or mitigate damage at low speeds, has been enhanced . In addition to pedestrians, cyclists, and vehicles directly in front of the vehicle, it can also recognize structures such as walls, making it suitable for a wider range of situations . Proactive Driving Assist (PDA), which provides unobtrusive driving support , now includes steering and deceleration support for pedestrians, cyclists, and parked vehicles, deceleration support for preceding vehicles , and deceleration support for curves, as well as deceleration support when turning right or left at signalized intersections .

The NX450h+ “F SPORT” is also equipped with Lexus Teammate Advanced Park (with remote function), which is compatible with various parking scenarios such as forward parking in parallel parking, backing out, and forward exiting, and the Parking Support Brake (surrounding stationary objects) [PKSB], which mitigates collisions caused by mistaking the brake for the accelerator and contributes to reducing damage . (The NX450h+ “version L” and NX350h are already equipped.)

A dashcam (front and rear) is installed (manufacturer option) . Camera footage from the front and rear of the vehicle is constantly recorded in memory. Recorded footage can be played back on the display in the center of the instrument panel, allowing for quick review. Video data can be transferred to a smartphone or USB memory for easy portability. The “digital inner mirror with front and rear recording function” was indeed adopted in the new Toyota “Harrier,” so it is likely to be standardized. It will likely be chosen because it eliminates the need for an aftermarket dashcam. I also own a “Harrier” and use the “digital inner mirror with front and rear recording function.” It has high resolution, is very easy to see, and is very user-friendly, so I highly recommend it.

Lexus NX Fully Redesigned for 2021-2022 Toyota Hybrid System (THS II)

Inheriting the compact, lightweight, and low-loss technologies used in the fourth-generation Prius, the hybrid system for the 2.5L engine has been completely redesigned, and a new high-performance Multi-Stage THS II has been developed. The 2.5L THS II pursues superior power performance and fuel economy at a high level through the synergistic effects of compact, lightweight, and low-loss technologies and the high combustion efficiency and high output of the new TNGA-based engine. Multi-Stage THS II achieves high starting acceleration performance and a driving feel that completely changes the image of hybrid vehicle driving. In addition to improving system efficiency at highways, intermittent engine operation is enabled even at high vehicle speeds, improving high-speed fuel economy.

Key Features of the Second-Generation Next-Generation Lexus Safety System+ for the 2021-2022 Fully Redesigned Lexus NX

All vehicles come standard with the second-generation “Next Generation Lexus Safety System+.” It also features the advanced driving assistance technology “Lexus Teammate Advanced Park.” Laser radar and cameras are used to ensure excellent recognition performance and reliability, and the collision avoidance support systems PCS, LDA, and AHB are packaged together. It ensures collision avoidance and damage mitigation performance that is compatible even at high speeds. It also comes equipped with “Pre-Collision Safety,” which can detect bicycles during the day and pedestrians at night, and “Lane Tracing Assist (LTA),” which assists with steering operations necessary to keep the vehicle in its lane when “Radar Cruise Control,” which maintains a constant distance from the vehicle ahead, is activated. Software updates over the air (OTA) allow software updates to improve the performance of advanced safety equipment without the need to visit a dealership.

Pre-crash Safety (PCS) with pedestrian detection detects obstacles ahead using laser radar and a camera, and if there is a risk of collision, it first alerts the driver with a buzzer and a display to urge them to brake. If the driver notices the risk of a collision and applies the brakes, powerful brake assist is activated. Even if the driver does not apply the brakes, for example, if the vehicle is traveling at 30 km/h toward a stopped vehicle, the automatic brakes will slow the vehicle by approximately 30 km/h to help avoid a collision. The automatic brakes operate over a wide speed range, from approximately 10 to 80 km/h, and cover more than 80% of actual rear-end collisions. For pedestrians, the PCS automatic brakes are now also activated at night, within the same speed range of approximately 10 to 80 km/h .

The Road Sign Assist (RSA) has expanded its detection targets, and now also reads major roadside traffic signs such as “speed limit,” “stop sign,” “no entry,” and “no crossing” and displays them on the instrument panel.

The Lane Departure Alert (LDA) camera recognizes the white and yellow lines in the driving lane, and if it detects the possibility of lane departure, it alerts the driver with a buzzer and a visual display, helping to avoid collisions caused by lane departure.

Adaptive High Beam Assist (AHS) is a system that precisely controls the on/off of LEDs to automatically block only the areas of light that would otherwise hit preceding or oncoming vehicles. This increases the frequency with which you can drive with your high beams on, ensuring excellent nighttime visibility.

Radar Cruise Control : This vehicle employs radar cruise control, which uses millimeter-wave radar to detect the distance between vehicles and the vehicle ahead, and adjusts its speed to match the speed of the vehicle ahead within a set speed range, allowing it to maintain a certain distance while following. Millimeter-wave radar and a camera detect lane changes by the vehicle ahead, allowing for smoother acceleration and deceleration control. Toyota aims for the ultimate goal of a mobility society: zero traffic fatalities and injuries. Toyota is researching and developing various safety equipment and systems based on its “Integrated Safety Concept,” striving to “develop safer vehicles and technologies,” and strengthening a wide range of traffic safety initiatives through “participation in traffic environment improvement” and “traffic safety awareness activities for people.”

Lane Tracing Assist (LTA) Lane Tracing Assist (LTA), featured in the new Lexus LS series, is being adopted for the first time in the next-generation Toyota Safety Sense P. When driving on a highway or expressway and radar cruise control is activated, turning on the Lane Tracing Assist (LTA) switch provides steering assistance necessary to keep the vehicle in its lane.

Leading vehicle departure notification function If you are stopped behind a vehicle in front of you at a traffic light or in a traffic jam and do not notice the vehicle in front of you starting to move, a buzzer will sound and a message will appear on the display to notify you.

Lexus New “NX” Fully Redesigned 2021-2022 Model Grade Selection

The best-selling models are expected to be the NX350h “F SPORT”, NX350h “version L”, NX450h “F SPORT”, and NX450h “version L”. The NX350h “F SPORT” looks like it will offer the best value.

The previous NX model, the NX300 2WD, started at 4,425,055 yen, but the new NX’s NX250 2WD starts at 4,555,000 yen, which is great as it’s not much more expensive.

Base grade equipment

Even the base grade comes standard with 18-inch aluminum wheels and LED rear combination lamps on the exterior. The interior comes standard with power tilt and telescopic steering, a driver emergency response system, and 8-way power seats for the driver and passenger. Safety features include the Lexus Safety System+ . Blind spot monitors and safe exit assist are also standard. Seat heaters and steering wheel heaters are not available as options on the base grade. A DVD and CD player are optional.

Points to note

Only the 9.8-inch display audio is different from the higher grades in terms of the LCD meter (this can be changed as an option). Interior illumination is not included as a standard feature. The Mark Levinson Premium Surround Sound System, the Forward Emergency Steering Assist (FCTA) to help avoid head-on collisions, and the Lane Change Assist cannot be equipped.

Version L equipment

The exterior features triple LED headlights. 20-inch aluminum wheels are standard equipment. Genuine leather seats, driver’s seat position memory, and ventilation for the driver and passenger seats are also included. Heated seats are also included in the rear seats. Wood grain is used for the door panels, etc. Hazel (brown) is available as an interior color. (Version L only) Electric reclining and folding rear seats are standard equipment. A head-up display is also standard equipment.

F SPORT equipment

The exterior adopts an exclusive exterior design for the “F SPORT”. In terms of driving performance, it adopts a performance damper and NAVI AI-AVS (electronically controlled suspension). A head-up display is standard equipment.

Points to note

Triple LED headlights and AHS are optional. Electric reclining and folding rear seats are optional. “Mark Levinson” Premium Surround Sound System is not available.

NX450h

The NX450h+ is available only as an AWD (4WD) model. The NX450h+ “F SPORT” is more expensive, but the NX450h+ “version L” comes standard with optional triple LED headlights and heated rear seats, making it the top-of-the-line model, but it is also expensive due to the various options that come as standard.

Points to note

The panoramic roof cannot be equipped. The Advanced Park Remote function is only available on the NX450h + “version L”. It is strange that it can be selected on the NX350h “F SPORT” but not on the NX450h + “F SPORT”. It uses the same engine and motor as the RAV4 PHV, but this one uses high-octane fuel. It does not support quick charging. It does not support the DC external power supply system that supplies electricity to the entire house.

What grade do you recommend?

The 2WD models of the “NX350h “F SPORT”” and “NX350h “version L”” will likely be the most popular. These two will undoubtedly be the most popular due to their hybrid grade and the freedom of option selection. The 2WD “NX250 “version L”” will likely be even more popular. It is the only gasoline model and its exterior design and equipment are almost impeccable, so it will likely be popular.
